yes I did... guess it will even be real, but even in the phonecall nothing

we have untill the 14th... and prolly yes the different countries will bow
to the US pressure. I just hope they won't because the public does not want
them to... The way they show their doubts uptill now says enough for me...

Its very well known that even in the army, aswell as the citizens of Iraq
mostly do not really support Saddam's leadership. Most of them r just too
afraid sumfin will happen to them or their families if they would speak out
loud. One more reason to support a revolution instead of going in and kill
many inocent or trheatened ppl.

Lets take my country: we r with 16,000,000 ppl. We pay 3.16 billion
dollars... right? The 200million ppl in the US pay the same amount as
64million of us. This means we pay over 3 times as much as u....

Still less ppl than in the US. They pay roughly 17 billion dollars... so u

Maybe it is committing political suicide. and as I said, the US came not
just to help us, cause the US did not want to help us. Germany declared war
against the US where the US responded on. Not for the cry of help from
Europe.

ok, I'll accept that, just wanted to mention that the few allys r not that
important as it is being to be believed.
Even Brittain is conciddered to be one of the poor European countries and
needs the support of the US. The ones that really matter r the scandinavian
ones, Danmark, Switzerland and the Netherlands... They r the rich countries
that can make a difference. Followed by countries as France, Germany,
Belgium, Austria, and Luxemburg... Finaly the south European countries like
Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece. Left r the East European countries. Its
hard enough for them to survive at all...

Finaly some-one is talking bout yellowstone aswell... I am/was not one of
the AW regulars. My virtual life over here started in yellowstone 4 1/2
years ago and thats the place where I did my first building. Yellowstone was
indeed the world that made me decide to become a cit soon after I visited
the first time. My rl girlfriend did aswell soon after that.
Yellow had its own humor and the regular cits there "protected" their yellow
is if it was their own. Newcomers sorta had to prove they fitted in in the
yellowstone community and were given often a hard time. But ones passed, 90%
would change their tourist suit for a real cit.
As facter says yellow used to be in the top 5 of best visited worlds for a
long time, but its fully empty now. That is a pity... a real pity! Many cits
left, some became tourist cause of the price-increase and can't even visit
their world wich they helped grow and made sure it was populair for many
years...

Now I hafta say that not just the price increase is the reason of the dying
of yellow: Its true that the yellow community had a sorta more adult feeling
compaired to AW. The *F* word was maybe more used there compaired to AW and
the jokes were maybe a bit more sexualy loaded compaired to AW, still yellow
(I think) was still more "neat" compaired with the average language u hear
in movies, television or in the street. Yellow used to be very populair
amongst Europeans and Australians who r not that fast offended by some words
they might hear. Besides that we sorta corrected ourselves if things went to
far.

Last year Active Worlds policy changed in a way that they made sure a PK or
PKbot was full time at GZ present in yellow. This hunted most of the ppl out
of there. After 4 years I got kicked out for saying G-string... (I was
allowed to say "boxershort" btw. Can u immagen how things went there the
last year. The sarcasm to some of the PKs grew immence or even turned into
hate against them (wich the better ones don't deserve). Even I leave a world
as soon as I see one enters, while they had been doing a fine job for many
years. Now it seems some of them have the most fun if they can break a
community down.

So for me the big thing besides the price-increase is the way citizens r
treated as kids by Active Worlds. I will turn 39 years of age next month and
my parents did a fine job by raising me as a quiet normal adult. I, and many
with me don't need and r certainly not waiting for a nanny, calling
him/herself PK if they r not needed. I have met some great PKs who do
understand that.

The option "Cit" or "Premium Cit" I don't like. Ppl pay, or they don't. So
the ones that pay (cits) get the options that the ones that don't pay
(tourists) don't get. Simple as that. I don't like the idea that u get an
elite group where (if it does exist) AW will work harder for since they pay
most of it all... Why would there be any development for "ordinairy cits"
wich in fact will become "the new Tourists".

AW should introduce a discount on long term users or sumfin. Nobody is
interested in these 3D homepages. There is hardly any left. Some tried it
but almost all let it go. To give NewAW to the Premium cits only would be a
huge shame since the cits that r still here now have been paying for this
NewAW by the raise of prices... NewAW is needed for AW to convince tourists
to become a cit in AW instead of having them leave to other universes... not
to create an elite world where others have been paying for this last year.

Last option could be: Change the name ActiveWorlds to: ActiveGorWorlds. They
seem to do fine in the universe. If I was a kid of 12 years old, I would set
my ratings at "X" (the kids know better how to change their settings as
adults do) and yell out: 24! as soon as age is asked. No-one checks age
anyway. Wear a nude avatar and test what these avatars can do nowadays...
Its better that Playboy Channel! Loads of fun! What a succes AGW would be...
wish I was a 12 yr old.... I would even be allowed to say G-string in these
Gor worlds... WOW !!!

Who knows what is going on when ppl on a 56k modem get disconnected when
they enter certain worlds. This happens in the new worlds that enable fog.
Some of the visitors in my world have that problem and tell me it happens in
more worlds...
Now I can not test this myself since I am on cable. The weird thing is that
u would expect the puter to crasch if it could not handle it, but that does
not happen. Its the telephone connection that gets lost. (sometimes right
away, sometimes after about 2 minutes...)

The ppl I am talking about have 800mhz machines or up and use recent 3D
acceleration cards....

Hope there is hope for these ppl... plzzzz let me know if u know the
solution.

nvdea g-force 32 mb card... should do the job I guess... He tells me it is
not just the fog... but "enable terrain" causes the same problem
(sometimes)...

Prolly ur in the wrong place here... Since most of us live in the kapitalist
part of the world, we live for our own profit. We work mostly for companies
that want to make profit, with managers that want to make loads of money for
themselves. This itself is allready the first step away from (ur) religious
believes wich tells u to share instead of keeping ownings for urself. Making
(more) money needs growth and to grow everything else has to move.
Kapitalist countries tend not to be religious countries, or fake ones like
the US where a television priests r allowed to make millions of dollars wich
they do not share and even get away with it...

In the name of God kapitalist countries r allowed to go to war to destroy
the real believers in the same God. Just the way they believe we don't seem
to like cause they tend to stop or work against our growth of money.
AW is just one of those many companies that is going for this money and in
that way is supporting our kapitalist system (for me personaly: they have my
blessings to do that).

The best way to support ur God is to leave AW, count ur money and possesings
and share it with ppl who really need it, instead of putting it in a company
like AW that just makes more money out of urs (I don't think they send it to
Africa). In ur believes u should concidder if u want to support a company
like AW, Coca Cola, Shell, and u name it... cause in fact (again in ur
believes) they support the evil ur talking about with ur own money...

Well for me, I just believe God left us a long time ago and things (AW) r
not as bad as u believe...

making money. I am not rich, not poor even, but have nothing to complain. I
dunno if AW makes a lot of money or not, maybe they hafta work incredible
hard just to make a living...

I just tried in my way to explain to The Lady (and even did it in a polite
way, while in fact I was furious bout her remarks) that when she thinks AW
is evil, or has evil "componants", she in fact is supporting that herself or
letting it exist. If she feels the need to attack "the evil" let her attack
the system that supports it, not the ppl that happen to be in that system.
If she is just referring to ppl just like u and me that might use a wrong
word, or having a wrong oppinion in her believes, she seems to judge us in
the name of her God, while she does not even know who or what we r... We
might finaly lead "better" lifes than she does... I seem to recall that her
own bible tells her not to judge on ppl anyway.
If she is referring to ppl with certain life-styles in AW that she looks
upon as evil, let her go to these ppl and talk to them. Let her be our AW
Missionair. She might "save a soul" out there, but for sure let her not
start a crusade here to let others do her job. But again; do never judge
them!

The hypoctritism in her story I think can be very dangerous. It has done a
lot of dammage in history. What I realy would like to know is what she is
really doing in RL to serve her God next to going to church alone a few
times a week. I hope she is fighting poverty in 3rd world countries, helping
refugees, helping ill ppl, taking homeless pll into her own house and
feeding them, or whatever... Maybe then we should start listning to her

Yep, its a nice one this one... It ended up in my mailbox too... but there r
always some simple things to avoid virusses to do their job:

- Never open attachments if ur not sure WHAT it is... (not from WHO it is,
cause sender might not know he/she did send it).

- If the mail does not make any sence to ya, just delete it.

- In this case the virus works different: This virus does not contain a
visable attachment. It opens a download dialog screen itself (is hidden in
the html encoding) and askes u to save or open the program it wants to dl...
In that case always remember u didn't ask to dl sumfin so cancel right away,
delete the message, and also empty ur deleted items bin.

- Far out the best protection for me still is: JUST DON'T USE MICROSOFT
OUTLOOK or OUTLOOK EXPRESS!!
Bout (I dunno) 99% of all virusses r written to work with Outlook (Express)
cause outlook reads the content (code) and just starts executing it.
Programs like Netscape don't do that therefor a virus like this one will not
harm ur system at all. Its just being ignored...

- Always contact the sender (if known by u) so he/she can get rid of the
virus to avoid new infections

- Last and most clear one: get urself a decent virusscanner and firewall and
make sure u get ur updates in time...

Hope these simple tips r helpfull enough for ppl who r not computer
experts... prolly there r other and better ways to protect urself, but the
rules above will protect u from almost anything..

I wanna raise my kids to become pornstars... this so I will be sure they
will become financialy independent... If they would become to ugly, I would
raise them to become drugsdealers.. still quiet some money to make out of
that... If they would not have business instincts to become a good dealer, I
think I would like them to become a killer for the FBI or CIA or sumfin...
They would be well protected by law and so on... If they would be real
loonatics, I would send them to the army.
I just hope they don't get decent jobs where they hafta work hard as hell
and make hardly any money, and for certain I hope they won't become
politicians, cause I think honesty is a very important thing in life wich
should be taken seriously...

Since I've upgraded to 3.4 I've got this weird problem:
When I enter certain worlds (one of them is AW), my "found new harware
wizzard" opens. When I continieu, the wizzard can't tell me what kind of
device it finds, so it can't complete the installation of it...
Sometimes it makes my puter freeze, sometimes when I cancel it finds the
hardware again and sometimes it just doesn't.... Now at the same time as I
upgraded to 3.4 I also installed Direct-X 9...
Does anyone know what this problem could be? Has one got to do with the
other?? Any tip or solution is welcome here, cause it is very annoing at
times...

More like the above is written there. Please explain to me why at first we
had this beautifull community alive there filled with many European and
Australian cits and tourists wich AW with its PK's all hunted out, till
Yellow became what it is now: a dead place.
AW left it there the way it is now for over a year, most of the old regular
Yellow cits did not renew and r gone now. Now suddenly AW is looking for a
new Community Leader for Yellow. Just get for example Radiance back and with
her the old cits... The community in Yellow will start flourish by itself
then again... AW, dive in ur archives, send the old ppl an e-mail, make an
offer they can't refuse otherwise I don't think its usefull to get yellow up
and running again. At least it will never be what it has been b4: the world
that made me and many others decide to become a cit, cause this world was
"different".
The great thing in Yellow was that it had this atmosphere wich was really
not US oriëntated. Not that narrowminded as some Americans seem to be (sorry
for this last line). Maybe it has been AWs policy to make AW real American
this last year, and I must say they almost succeeded. Its a pity tho since
AW used to have a much more diverse group of ppl in. For now AW does not get
my support on this one... sorry.

Immigration Officer started irritate me every 5 minutes a few days ago it
really got annoying...

Well, I was one of the lucky few that had my world hosted by a friend for
free uptill now. That way I could afford me to have a world of my own. Last
year I payed about $ 200.- for my world where 10 ppl at the time could come
and visit. Also I payed my $ 59.- for tourist allowance into my world.
Unfortunatly the hosting will end in January what will mean I hafta invest
atleast $ 200.- more to keep it up and running. $ 400,- has become to much
for me to keep my world alive. So I am also one of those worldowners that
has to stop running my world "yep!"
Now, for many of u that prolly will make no difference at all. Most of u
never visited my world, or maybe have popped in just ones or twice wich is
not a problem at all cause I don't visit all the other worlds aswell. But
for some yep! is this small community there up and running wich is visited a
few hours a day by mainly Europeans. For sure it will be missed by some of
them....
Now AW also exists cause of all these small worlds like yep! Many active
builders and worldowners out there... and all together many visitors
aswell... It is a pity to see them leave. Now yep! has become one of them.

But, if nobody cares bout worlds like yep! what will there be left in two
years from now. Small worlds disappear, therefore many cits do not renew
wich makes other worlds disappear... a.s.o.

Now at this moment that I am writing this there r 1056 worlds out there in
AW. I remember bout half a year ago I mentioned in the newsgroups that the
number of worlds went below the 1200. Eventho there still is this sign in AW
saying sumfin like: "join the largest and fastest growing universe in the
world" we have lost about 150 worlds in half a year. Thats over 10% !! If
this rate continious (20% a year), I think AW will be no longer the fastest
growing universe anymore... (between u and me... the figures show that AW is
getting smaller instead of growing... The sign out there at AWGZ isn't
right... its to fool the newbies...). The number of visitors is going down
in the same rate btw....

I have started to tear my world down. It will be alive for an other month,
but most builds I have deleted allready. I noticed two things:
1. deleting goes much faster than building...
2. The less builds there r left the less lagging there is...
These where for me the only two positive things I could think of in the last
few days b4 I close my world down after 3 years. Now I only hafta decide
what to do with my cit. I hafta get me a new cit cause the one I have ends
with the world. After being a cit for 6 years now there prolly will be a
"screb tourist" for a while. I guess I will hang around a bit in sweets
world, hoping it will be worth for her to keep her world up and running....

After long doubting I decided to renew my world. I went back to from a 30x30
to a 10x10 world. Also for the moment I can not afford to have tourists in
my world, but I hope that will be able soon again.

Tho I have still 8 more days left b4 I had to renew, I thought; lets do it
today allready. First I did renew my cit for an other year. This one expired
the 7th of January. When I had done that I saw that the new year was nicely
added starting from the 7th of January.

My world tho went different: That one expires the 7th of January too, but I
renewed today. Today allready, it is for tourists allready not possible
anymore to enter. Today allready my world went down from a P30 to a P10!
That means a week is sorta "stolen" from me.

Now I am not that childish to complain that much bout this one week (altho I
think its not very nice ENZO), but what realy does bother me is that the old
P30 builds r gone outside the P10 world, while the terrain is still intact!
How can I change and/or delete my terrain when I am not allowed to build
outside the P10 world?? I want to rebuild my terrain completely after
changing the sizes of the world, but it seems I can't.... I made a new
terrain-set wich does not make sence when the old terrain with its levels is
still there....I did empty my cache twice, so thats not the problem....

Thnx AW for this fast reaction on my renewal by deleting everything and
taking away my P30 rights and options, but plz tell me what I can do bout
this problem....
