SteveBe: Looks good! :) I tried to add a time trigger to the sound block but haven't figured it out yet. I can get it to trigger a sound with a button, but I can't seem to trigger it with time yet. I'll try to play with it a bit more. It would be a useful tool I think.

Johny: Would you call that vertigo tetris? :) Nice job, looks good. :)

Thanks Délé, I'm working on a time trigger and Norm said he'll look at it if he
gets a chance. The 'play once' button has a script associated with it and I'm
thinking (could be wrong) that a line or 2 could be added to reference a
variable in the triggered loop script.

Johny, record file looks good, I had to increase my playback speed because I
still had it set to slow working on mine. This would be good to see as a working
game!

Not out of topic, feel free to post it in 1. 2, or 3 or all three of them! (2 or 3 maybe best) Script version of this recording would be great contribution to trueSpace comunity.

This recording definitely gives you a spot on TS7.5 Beta team should you care to join us there. If you do, you will also get access to Caligari developers who can also help you to make this game a reality. Good luck!

What, no more 3D recordings?:)

This recording is scaled way back from what I wanted to do, which was to record a facial animation that talks. That recording with 30 words, was a whopping 795 MB. It was my original idea to use this sort of recording for a tutorial or what have you. You should first push the "Run Activity" button, them push the "Play record" button on the "Record toolbar". I would be curious if the Activity and Speech runs automatically in truePlayer. Team Caligari?

795 MB for 30 words? Oh boy, I hope we can do better with new character animation in 7.5.

That's easily fixed. I'm unclear on whether you actually have WinRAR (http://www.rarlab.com/index.htm) or WinAce (http://www.winace.com/), but if you don't have either then you need to get 1 of them. [there may be other progs that can handle .rar files, but if there are I'm not aware of them]

Here is one that is free: http://www.7-zip.org/ (http://www.7-zip.org/)

I didn't realise 7-Zip could do .RAR files. I only got it because I needed to extract a .7z file.

Here is scene and it is only 92KB, so far that is. Attached below.

Import scene into Library (stack libraries) under Scenes.
Open up Scene Editor so that you will be able to change TrueParticles while still in Player with the modeler close
Make sure Stack view is open and run the "Run Script" object, once again Player background has to be manually set all the way to black. This script just sets the bloom settings, you can do that manually as well.
Open up TrueParticles by selecting the TruParts object in LE and right clicking on the TrueParticle icon. As long as the TruParts object is selected and the Scene Editor is open you will have TrueParticle panel open while in Player and you should be able to tweak effects and run simulation in Player to fine tune.
As a note I copy the Scene Editor Icon and TrueParticle Icon to a tool bar that stays open when player is selected so that I don't have to go to modeler to open these tools since those buttons are in toolbars which close if the Player is open. (I do this by holding the ctrl key plus the Shift key and drag the duplicated buttons to another toolbar)Once happy you can record simulation using recorder, note this is very memory intensive but speed is greatly increase (depending upon graphics card) over playing simulation with Scene Editor. If you run out of memory select another object other then the sphere, sphere is actually the worst object for memory usage. This is not yet refine but is coming along rather quickly.

Noko: I was messing around with your Exploding Player scene the other day. I figured out why your Post Process script did not work. When I first tried your scene I ran it in Default view. Evidently you recorded your script in a different view and as you can see below it is different hierarchies.
This partial script was recorded in Default view:
"/Project/Windows Manager Space/Frame Window/Split Docking Place/Frame Window/Split Docking Place/Frame Window, 2/Border Docking Place/Frame Window, 2/Player - Post Process"
Also I imported the Player - Scene Ground and changed both tiles to black then set the Zoom to 1000. Basicaly creating a simi black background.
Anyway I just wanted to share this little tidbit.

Thanks trueBlue :jumpy:. That is good to know plus I like the way you get the background any color you want by using ground plan. Here is animation I did today since you sparked my interest. Just messing around but I think I would be able to do fireworks with it, use multiple emitters with different colors, speed and lifespans. This one I am using thousands of particles, post process in PaintShopPro X to add blur. Still it takes less then 10 minutes to do 140 frames of animation, post process, edit and save using Player's render to file.
