Hey Vizu usually around here they go for $450 but it was advertized for $320 the other day around the corner so I couldn't pass it up.

Too busy to be going around keeping things tidy, sheesh! Hehe.
"A clean and neat dwelling place is the sign of a disturbed mind."

Is this a competition about "Room looking like disaster areas" ?
Then...did I win anything ? :p
Only cos I'm too shy to post mine. :p

They are trying to keep you from the slippery slope that leads to mess addiction:

Hah - I wish mine was that tidy! :(

@ daybe ! Yes, the viewsonic VX910 it is and i am happy so far with it.
That's the 2nd 1 from the right, yes? Mounted on the wall? Looks nice.

Here's mine. It looks that tidy because I removed all the unread mail and bills. Before someone asks where the ashtray is, it's the bowl. Haven't got around to buy ashtrays. Though it's been 5 months since I moved to Seville (Spain). It's much better than my old desk in Austria, that was really tiny and a mess.

Unfortunately, the only camera I have is a really crap webcam. It's not too bad when you're not aiming it towards a light source, & you get fairly close to what you want to see, but otherwise....
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/alien42/images_for_caligari_forum/monitor_spacing.jpg

I'm only really posting this to illustrate what I was trying to explain the other week about the positioning of my monitors relative to each other.

Seeing as really crap webcam shots are allowed here is one of my set-up taken with the webcam on my partners PC. The keyboard is out in the next room with the PA, the piano and an assortment of guitars.

I'm amazed at the number of musicians here - someone suggested we start a band - heck, we could start an orchestra!

What a great thread - it's cool to be able to see so many creative peoples creative spaces!

Thought I'd posted my room before but I guess I never did add it to this thread.

Never underestimate the value of 2x4's and plywood when you need something to hold 2 heavy monitors plus. Think my main inspiration came from my model railroad setup in the basement.

Room's got a bit more stuff in it now but the layout is mostly the same. A keyboard tray is now installed under the flight yoke (courtesy of more plywood). Also am up to my armpits in terrariums for geckos on the opposite wall (2nd photo. btw, panorama assembled with a program called autostitch in case anyone's curious...).

Professor, cool, you brought lunch. I like how the geckos get fine matching cabinets but you get home-built plywood.
W!zard, I think you overdid it on the DOF with that crappy webcam.;)

LOL - Yeah I'm one of those 'do as I say not do as I do' guys - talking the talk without walking the walk. It makes life so much easier.:D

Actually with really cheap webcams the acronym DOF stands for Degree Of Fuzziness ;)

Cool Thread... I don't know how I missed this one.

Here's my messy space. (Found a great sale on flat panels about a year ago. Still managed to cut into the grocery budget though.)

Thanks to all for sharing.

I've been relegated a 'corner' of the family room. Wife is directly in front of me.

Funny to note the keyboards - I thought I was a rarity. Had mine out playing it to the youngest (pictured) earlier this week to introduce her...

Cheated on the babysitting with the bumbo, winamp visualization, and some Enya while the wife works today to get this. She loves it. I'll make a geek of her yet.;)

Holy cow - that's no youngest - you really are 6 months old!!!!

OK, Here's me - proving that keyboards and tS are an essential mix for some reason. The CRT has since been replaced by a 20" LCD.

It's kind of a monastic simplicity here! Once it was a jumble of CRT's (15", 17", 19", 21") and old computers, both PC and Mac. A while ago I just put everything out on the street with a sign "don't buy it, just take it!" (I still remember that poor guy, carrying that Sony 21" which seemed like filled with lead, to the other side of the village). Except my brand new laptop, but that's been hijacked by my daughters... Now I just take my time to decide which nice new flatscreens would be great to have there. (I quite like Splinter's setup :) http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showthread.php?t=2605

No keyboards here, I am afraid, just books, a few easels and maps...

@Hemulin Yes, that could well be, here in Holland it is sold as Medion Surround System, but the names are so close that we may assume that these are just different brands for different markets. I put some of the speakers out of sight because there were wires everywhere;)

Well, when this thread started I didn't have a camera at all. Now I have a camera but it's only a cheap webcam. So I can't really pull back very far and it's not a clear picture. I'm starting to think there are more musicians then non-musicians around here. :)

:p He he, well Delé, I just added one to the non-musician statistics (it's oil on canvas here), but I agree, we are outnumbered. That cheap webcam takes nice athmospheric pictures by the way.:)

Well, you should start by moving her toward the keyboard first, I thinks she's ready to give it a go :p

LOL, at 4 months, she's just now actively reaching. She seemed to understand pressing the keys on the keyboard made noise. Will try again this week to see for sure.

She has loved the visualizations since coming home from the hospital. I'm sure its the colors. I checked out some trig and calc books this week to brush up on the expressions they are using to get them. I don't want to appear the buffoon if she asks one day.

This is really a cool thread. I see some layouts that look very conducive to productivity. Its too easy to fall into making a comfy space - and just check emails and cruise the forums..lol. After the house is completed this summer, I'll refer back to it to get some ideas.

Even more amazing is the amount of musical equipment on display...:)

This is one of the greatest threads here. I really envy people who have space to work in. I'm cramped in a tiny flat with all my gear n stuff - I can barely move. So here's my little corner on the planet:

You know Loadus, it doesn't really matter. I worked in cramped tiny spaces for quite a long time, in my present house I have a room of 4,6 x 9,5 m, just to work in, but what did I do? I put my desk and all my stuff on one side, cramped together ;) . Just feels more comfy. Sometimes I cross the empty space behind my back to get a book from the case on the other side. It all still would fit in your room. The only thing that really has increased is my energy bill  :o

Good catch, prodigy! Yeah, I got that for my last birthday -

I had a chance to get something useful or something kooooool.

@Burisman:

Yup, when I last moved I threw away half of my stuff and got some

space but yeah, a bigger flat wouldn't be a bad thing at all. :)

Yep, a year has passed and my bit of space (in my opinion) has got tidyer, cleaner and less cluttered:banana::banana: Also a nice new 20" Widescreen TFT and a pc upgrade.:jumpy:

Seriously, I think you did some room posing before you took this photo.
