There's a joke to be made about Splinters checking out all the boys organs but I shall refrain! :)

As we're playing keyboard spotting, here's half my room:

Here's the room (or the corner where I work at least), when it's kind of tidy.

No keyboards here, my weapon of choice is posted. I did used to have keyboards (and an home studio 8 track set up - tape, as this was when digital was WAY to expensive, even the tape set up cost thousands!), but guitar was always my first instrument. Used to have about 6 of those, including a sunburst Strat and an Ovation Thunderbolt at the high end of things, but sold them to invest in computery 3D arty stuff. Only recently (last year or two) re-acquired a guitar, just a Squire now, but it does the job for as much time as I get to play it hehe :)

I used to have a rig like that Wicked Witch-I shrunk it to just one keyboard. Like Tom, I have to really try hard to make time for music nowadays.

Some lovely retro gear there methinks...show us the rest...please...:)

I am really enjoying this thread.

But how did you get Parva round to your house, and persuade him to dress up as wizard.?

Ok, Kate makes up for all those that don't have keyboards. :)

Nice to see another guitarist Tom. That is actually my main instrument as well. I too had an Ovation. Nice guitars. Though my favorite was my Takamine acoustic/electric. That thing had a nice rich sound to it and an excellent mic. Unfortunately I ended up pawning it off a couple of years ago, 'doh. I'm getting the itch again though, especially with all of this music talk on these forums. I may have to find a way to reacquire some instruments again myself. :)

And here's one side of my room. Yes, I have a keyboard (or two).

But my instruments are guitars too. Gibson Les Paul, Taylor Leo Kottke and some other acoustic guitars.

5-String Banjo, ukulele. You can see a selfmade E-Guitar for MIDI-Input. E-Bass.

Then my woodwind instruments clarinet, soprano and alto saxophone. A MIDI-sax. An englishhorn. And a bagpipe wich I cannot play.

I have just a guitar but it's long ago that I have played something at it.

Okay, just had to jump in on this one. It's my office at work. Well okay, it is a cubicle, but it's roomy! And a bit of a mess. That just means I get a lot of work done and don't spend time looking at other peoples' rooms on the internet :)

Retro? The Juno106 and D50 I'll grant you but the Access Virus C, JP8000 and JP8080 to name but three are hardly retro! Then there's the myriad of softsynths that (obviously) can't be seen! The rest are currently unplugged as I'm re-wiring the other side in the hope that I get a new mixing desk for my birthday! Anyway, you think this is a lot - you should see the actual studio! (haven't posted a pic of that as I don't do tS in there!)

But how did you get Parva round to your house, and persuade him to dress up as wizard.?

Hahahaha!! I don't care what Parva says - that's Dooley! My good luck troll (you'll always find him in my dressing room at gigs!). I collect Dam Trolls and the other side of the room has about another 300!

Interesting thread. I've not been about much, as my PC is so frustratingly slow, that it wont run truespace 7. However, my new PC should be arriving on friday (X2 4600+, 2 Gig ram, SLI 7800GTX), and I'll be up and running again. When I get it set up, I'll post a pic. Looks like I may have to drag my Clavinova into my office to make sure there's a keyboard in the shot.

Hahah hadn't seen Saul's video, just the still, just watched the vid now. At last I can feel less bad about my work area - and yes, the pic shown is a LITTLE misleading as there was no half-scribbled bits of paper, deeply stained coffee cup with cold coffee in it (which I'll still be drinking - waste not, want not), a paper plate or bowl from lunch at the keyboard, a coke can or two, some chewing gum packets, various letters and bills and things that need seeing too, a pile of music (cases, CDs, not necessarily related to one another as they drift apart over time), a calendar that still shows April, a slightly coffee stained drinks mat that defines the Scottish word "Scunner", and a bin that is threatening to become more like Saul's pile on the floor than a bin if I don't empty it soon ;)

EDIT: Oh and didnt show that my computer has one side off the case, because I seem to end up in there once every couple of weeks, and a third computer with no sides and a half-fitted CD Rom and various innards missing which was pressed into service lately when the second computer fried motherboard and graphics card at the same time, and the tools and screws that comes from taking apart 3 PCs and not quite putting them back together. That wasn't shown either. Cunningly selected angle in the photo, you see. END EDIT

But still... nothing like Saul's. Unless that was just a render and not really what the room looks like hehe.

Almost real time! Put the guitar and dog in as props, keyboard is under my bed collecting bunnies.

Speaking of bunnies, I also notice a common predilection for desk ornaments and stuffed things.

Very cool thread!
