Okay I know I remember posts in which several of the Old Timers (here longer
than me) would say that AWCOM was based in the Delware area.
Can't remember who said it but while renewing my world (and getting a couple
of errors on the form) I called up the number they have for if you have
questions. And found out that AWCOM is in Massachusetts with the servers in
Cambridge.
Reason I noticed this was cause they had the same area code as me :p

But they are incorporated under Delaware law.

Many companies use Delaware to form a corporation for tax reasons or some shit. I think it's
because they don't have a state income tax, I forget...

It's sales tax, not income tax. They still pay income tax no matter what in

The reason for incorporating in Delaware is mutiple. Not only the tax issue but the incorporation law is the most liberal one. For example even in a public company the shareholders has much less power than the Board of Directors or the majority owner.
