a new AW GZ? (General Discussion)
a new AW GZ? // General Discussion
Jun 16, 2002, 11:03pm
Well, I was walking around AW GZ just now and looking at all the overlaps
and missing pieces, etc. I was thinking to myself, why not touch up the GZ?
We don't need to give it an entirely new look, just make it a little more
appealing. Take away the overlaps and fill in some of the missing pieces,
maybe make some new objects to fit in for those pieces that they probably
needed.
I see nothing wrong with this at all, it's not like we're removing something
from history. (Think of it as like, cleaning up some Graffiti on say.. the
Statue of Liberty.)

LoL, the original AW was blank.. so it stands that it wasn't originally
there ;D.. besides I think there was one before this wasn't there? Most of
it's from 1997.. so it stands that there was something before then..

Well...I for one, think the AW GZ *does* need a new look. I mean how long
has the current GZ been there??? Like YEARS???
Time for a new look IMHO... :-)
Comments anyone??
Cheers for now :-)

This only like the billionth time someone has said we need a new GZ... Has
AWC ever taken the time to redesign it?
.... I don't think they're going to anytime soon... In all my 3+ years here
that GZ has never changed... (except for that one time when Hurricane
Cryonics struck GZ, we had knee deep water for an hour or so)

The old GZ was made up almost entirely of z objects (which still exist
and might even be x objects). Had the blue compass in the middle with a
large stone8 octagon surrounding it. Also had checkered walls for
borders and teleports where the large signs are now (not the large
picts). That's about all I can remember, but I'm sure someone has a
picture of it somewhere. (AWHS, perhaps?) Or, if you're feeling real
adventurous, check out AWGZ world, which (I believe) has the old GZ
fully restored in it.
