There's no reason it shouldn't. XP wouldn't be the best choice for it
though. Especially if you're on Windows98SE.

Hi,

Yes, I'm using Windows XP and AW works perfectly without a single problem,
so does every other program that has driver updates, or may need them.

But rem win XP is a hungry big devil for mem, would not run aw under 256meh
of it.

The machine Ibought only had 128 and that ran aw client at 100% of cpu, so
if not got get as much mem as you can afford.

I got a P2 350MHz and 128MB RAM
Right now im running windows 98, hosting 2 worlds, a bot or 2, along with
the AW browser and my processor is only being used about 1% - 6%
System resources are around 60% free

Stick with Windows 98.. there's no logical reason to upgrade (or is it
really downgrading?). Your computer will come to a crawl with XP.

You may consider Windows 2000 Professionnal though, by far the best OS Microsoft has released as of yet (which isn't much :P)
Well, that's my opinion at least :)
Although 98 works ok most of the time, it may be wiser to use Windows 2000 when running world servers for more stability.
98 is good for older games (if you're into that ;o) ), Windows 2000 for servers, new games, stability, security... The systems to
avoid are 95 and below, Me, NT 4 and below, and XP (especially Home version of course ;o) ).
