Why doesn't the browser resize to fit the screen if you move the taskbar in
windows? There always is an "empty space". I am wondering if there is a
way to correct this.

If Tony's suggested method doesn't work, which it doesn't for me, simply restart the browser, or better yet, don't screw with the
taskbar in the first place

Well I use the full screen to view all my webpages by auto hiding the task bar.
Right click your task bar, click properties then in the pop up window check Auto
Hide. Works well for me, once in a while the task bar will come up behind the
window, simply minimize the window and maximize again to correct the problem. :)
