While hanging at AWGZ, we started a discussion about how old the avatars on
world AW really were.

I know that two of us there have been with ActiveWorlds since mid and late
1999, and neither of us could
name one new avatar that has become available there since that time!

This would be one of the easiest updates to world AW that could be made.

I can understand wanting to have special avatars for the homepages, as to
entice people to bown worlds,
but even if they were to add the ones from AWGate, that would be an
improvement.

Just my $.02 worth..
...wonder if anyone will actually read this and make a change?

Well, we do always ask for rennovation of AWGZ, but the old avatars i
think are the only historical things we should keep. Sure we can add the
megapath ones next to them but, im just not used to seeing romans and
cowboys going around. I just hate realistic avatars, and the fact that
they replace hotep with a mummy, ugh.
Unless they keep the old hotep though, because megapath gets rid of it
in place of the new one.

Just one of the many simple, yet worthwhile additions Alphaworld could use.
Personally I'd still use Hotep, but I'm all for additional avatars as long
as the originals are left alone.

We can keep the old but also add the new, and why stop at AWGZ? I'd love to
see AWGate, which is the first world all newcomers see, have newer and nicer
avs :o}

Well, if you think about it, AWGate has had more avatar renovations than
world AW has.. everytime they change the theme on AWGate, they tend to
change/add avatars there.

That's why I mentioned I'd even be happy to see the AWGate avatars ported
over.. because even they are newer than the AW ones.

I'd like to see some of the older AVs that were in AlphaWorld and deleted,
brought back.like Tanya.

Also I'd like to see the introduction of 2 or 3 new AVs, but not these
high-tech crappy ones. Just some simple AVs like the ones in AlphaWorld
already :)

Sounds awesome.

If your interested you can use my custom avatar pack. It "unlocks" all the
avatars in the Alphaworld object path that aren't in use. However only you
and others with the mod can see them.

Btw it doesn't unlock ALL of them. Some were just too bad to include :P
Also the avatar sequences need some work. I just copy and pasted the
sequences from another avatar...hotep I think it was.

Hi everyone:

[View Quote] That makes two of us Comit. Add - YES. Replace - ABSOLUTELY NOT. :)

They could especially use vehicle avatars like those available on
Broadway World.

At least those, along with the BIKE avatar I almost always use (except
when I'm constructing buildings that is), would be better than NOTHING
(which is what we pretty much have now).

Cheers for now everyone :)
