Oh Ay! Thats what I was gonna post, *LOL*

The last time I checked the world was not flat (of course I could be wrong but i doubt it), so why is Active Worlds? It would be
great if there could be a world option to loop the world so you can litterally run around the world and go from 1 point, to another
and back to the first point, just by pressing forward.

While AWCI is at it why not invest a bit of development into 3d sphering of worlds such as Populus where the world features curve
round around the world, granted a P-3000/100 might not work the best on this, but it would be nice if it were a option.

Its little things this that would take Active Worlds from Active Worlds to Active WORLDS.

You wouldn't need to do very much as I sat down and thought about it. All
you'd have to do is bind the corners to opposing sides of the world. Of
course this needs to be an *option* otherwise it may make other worlds look
ugly. This would help to make a world more fluid instead of just a box.

That would be soo confusing in small worlds. You'd look forward and see the
same objects that you see when you look backwards! o.O

it would be easy if you were heading north south east or west... but how
would you do it if you were going northwest? its easy to do as far as
movement is concerned, but what about what you see? making a flat world wrap
around in a circle is <at least nearly> impossible. Making the world
actually a sphere might be hard to build on, and would cause problems with
worlds that have stuff built already

It doesn't need to be physically possible in order to program the illusion.
;-) And the worlds wouldn't actually be spherical, the AW Client would
simply make that illusion by warping the land in the distance.

Hence you could specify radian curvature and world size if u select it

lol, that'd be some serious curvature for a small world. :-P

Agreed, the AW physics engine is crap enough without having to incorporate space time warping o.0

It would still be a nice addition though, considering AWC's entire effort is going into making the worlds more like... worlds...
oceans etc. If they are going to do it, they might as well do it right.

Some sort of wide angle lense effect could possibly be used to present the illusion of curvature, and perhaps the amount of it could be settable for each world, but the wrap-around effect can be done quite easily using an analog of a 4D hyper-torus. The mathematics and implementation are quite simple.
