What is the point of charging anymore, when there so many people out
there now that will do it for free? lol but I guess it doesn't hurt
to try anyways...

a lot of people who dont charge will be reckless with your world files
(will play 3d games that crash a lot, large downtime, slow connection)
of course leaving just an email and no website or anything is not the
most enticing thing ive ever seen but hell even if he only gets one
customer 10 bucks is better than nothing

Who's to say the person charging money for hosting doesn't play games, or be
reckless?

Its all a matter of who to trust, really...

just my opinion, but i'd prefer a paid host to a free one. just makes more
sense for me, not sure why, just does. a psycological thing i guess, but
when you pay for something, you expect it to be a better service.

You don't usually have a contract when something is free, meaning you cannot
expect anything.

Also though, just because you pay doesnt mean that you can expct anything
without a contract.

ya, but when you pay for something, you do expect something, because you're
paying for it. if it's free, and something goes wrong, can't complain,
because it's free.

From my own personal experience, I've sold a digital product to over
100 people on the Internet that contains information in it that anyone
could find with enough free time searching the Web. I make much more
money and have more free time than I used to when I was running my small
hosting business.

On the flip side, I use two free online services that are actually
better than services I used to pay for. :) There are many reasons why
someone buys something vs. finding a free alternative to it -- impulsive
urges, time constraints, for convenience, good marketing, better
support/customer service, etc.

Untrue. I provide a free world hosting service, on a oc3 shared
connection, under linux and I host about 16 worlds and I have never
failed any of those owners.

ya, but in my opinion, the point is, since it's free, we can't have any
expectations. can't complain, no matter what. (unless it's something really
reckless i guess).

Do not trust David. He has a version of AWHack for one thing and he has
cloner. When I first met him, while I was with BRO, he used several
accounts and showed me 5 at once..this was back when aw was $19.95 per year.
He'll only hack you and abuse your privacy.

ok, just a little thing, you can tell us that he was on 5 diffrent accounts
at once, and even maybe tell us he has AWHack, if your absolutly sure. but
you have no right to say that someone WILL hack you, and WILL abuse your
privacy. you're making someone look bad just because you have a bad feeling
about them, which is wrong, especially if he looses a customer over it.

thing is, you can't be sure of someones intentions. you can say you think he
might try stealing everyones worlds, but you shouldn't say that he definatly
will, since there is no way you can be definatly sure.
