MM is a very nice person in this community. She has helped AW grow and
develop in many ways. Kellie has earned the respect of many AW citizens.
Without MM, Active Worlds would no longer be what it is. Many citizens value
her. She is a very nice friend and loyal worker.

Kellie is a valuable member of the community and a valuable employee in
mine and a lot of the community's eyes. It's sad that this is how her
hard work was treated and that this is how it ended up. She worked
very hard to keep everything going and was very understanding when it
came to requests and the sort, despite it taking a bit of time to
respond. This is a big mistake. :(

I'm disappointed with AWI's decision to fire Kellie Williams (Mountain Myst)
but at least we have to face the hard reality.

The hard reality, of course, is this: don't expect Rick or JP to respond to
this thread, protests, or petition. As far as I'm concerned, none of the
businesses ever does responds to its customers when it comes to them
complaining about a firing of a particular employee who has established a
strong relationship with the customers. The history will show that. The
decision made by a business regarding its employee are pretty much
(apparently) off-limits for customers. I can't really recall any events
where customers actually did successfully get a previously-fired employee
rehired.

Customers may be able to get companies to change its policies (AWI's
policies in communicating with its customers for better is an example of
this), but they may not be able to get them to reverse their decisions about
its employee. Sadly enough, that was exactly what happened when Ron Britvich
(Protagonist) was sacked for some reason and the customer's attempts to get
him rehired had proved to be a speculatur (sp?) failure. I'm particularly
concerned about this one. I'm hoping it will work but in the end, don't
expect Rick or JP to respond to this one, as they did not respond to the
protests against Ron Britvich's firing back in few years ago.

Regardless, I'm signing my name on petition.

All very true, but when they do it beacuse there is no longer any need for
someone as Community Liaison" when there clearly is, well, that just
stinks.

But you right, I highly doubt any of this will do much, as much as I would
like it to. Anyone remember the price increases? Alot that all did.

Sadly you are right. I also signed the petition, even though I know it won't
do any good. It's a pipe dream to think a simple online petition will bring
an ex-employee back to a company. I won't be holding my breath waiting for
something like that to change. I still don't have any info on the "firing"
of Kellie. I wonder where Strike got his details? Perhaps Kellie left for
greener pastures elsewhere? Well, whatever happened, I do wish her the best
of luck in anything she pursues. We'll miss you VERY much Kellie
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((huge hug))))))))))))))))))))))))))). Please
visit us on occasion. (Hoping she can still read these ngs or someone might
pass them along to her)
