I've heard a lot of people mentioning the development of 4.0, but none of
that has actually come from the AWI staff. Are there any official reports
on what 4.0 is going to have?

Prolly a few graphical building features for world-owners only and more
support for RPGs (for the sake of newAW if anything).

As an Alphaworldian, I've been pessimistic about upgrades since like 3.1,
sorry =P Just speculation though, any official word would be welcome.

I spoke with sum awi ppl, all I have heard was many features seen in places
like the wishlist will be on, and vehicles, clothing and such most likely as
well.

Remember, none of this is official. I won't believe anything I hear unless
it's from some reliable sources, not "I heard from someone that..." Anyway,
isn't it good business to advertise an upcoming "great" version of active
worlds? That could attract more users, and could get them to subscribe, in
hopes that this new version will be the best thing in the world. That's
what got me to subscribe to active worlds from another universe, in
anticipation of 3.3

Well considering most people are retiring from AW because of boredom, maybe
it will be worth it to stay a little longer if they knew from an official
source that new cool stuff is coming. This relates back to the PR post in
the wishlist again lol... AW needs some good PR. I'd even be willing to do
it for free and I'm sure many other people would be as well.

The real question is how buggy will 4.0 be, and when will it be out *if*
they're doing such a major overhaul...
