Radio Stations Spamming at GZ areas (Community)
Radio Stations Spamming at GZ areas // Community

Idea:)
Rather than come to the ngs and complain.
Maybe we can take a poll and make suggestions as to how often the url might
be announced?
Or possibly suggest that radio station urls be posted on gz signs then folks
could be directed to them instead of 3 lines of chat advertising?
One station will be doing Cy commercials, and I have asked that they not
announce Cy commercials but once every 10 minutes. Think that is fair?
Whatcha'll think?
It's always possible to turn negatives into positives ya knows:)
Bit:)

I think people who continuously spam the same thing should be ejected =\

I think its just a way for people to promote their name and get attention.
Honestly 5 times every 5 minutes gets really annoying. Not only that, but
they gram the crap as well. Many are blocking telegrams. Instead of them
being a "community fun event", AWRadio has just turned into a large
annoyance to many.

I like that idea Bittie. Cuts back on spamming in public and also spamming
via gram. Its so annoying to find several grams waiting for me every other
day with commercials for radio stations that I honestly don't have the
interest in listening to in the first place. ;-"D

I've had people come into AWNewbie and started spamming the same message
over and over, then treat me very rudely when I've asked them to stop.
Just FYI - spamming is not appreciated at all in AWNewbie .. I don't
care if you're bringing salvation to the masses or trying to get people
to come to your world .. there are other ways to advertise that I've
made possible in AWNewbie.
Just thought I ought to say that :)

Heres something possitive for ya Alpha, I am Possitive that I believe
spammers are annoying. But the I do agree we need to come to some
middleground with them.

First of all, don't let this reflect badly on the actual stations
themselves. (I'm not directing this at you Bit, just sharing my view
with everyone. Like I always do.) The stations are good for the community.
However, I do agree I DON'T wanna hear about them by telegram. As for
GZ... I think once every 15 minutes. BUT if the radio stations do cut
down on the spam I DON'T want to see anyone complaining at each posting
because of how frequent it was before. That would really piss me off.
Wait until they've said it about 3 times before deciding if it's too
frequent or not. I noticed IHNK got really mad at the ad being posted
ONCE... even though it wasn't even repeated for ages... for
adveritising, zero is too little, and once is enough.
