lol Nope, someone put an "x" in the beginning of the texture name ....old
trick for making something not load. Someone just turned the sun off for
awhile I think ;)

Now if they can get it to rise and set at random sunrise and sunset times
and intervals according to the time of year and according to VRT, that would
be FABULOUS!! :-)

Personally, I enjoyed AW's night-mode, or sunset mode, which they would
activate for a couple days every once in a while (maybe 4 or 5 times a year
I guess). It was a nice break from the norm.

Yes, Comit, I enjoyed that too...two or three days of night mode in Alphaworld, as a change of pace surprise - the way they used to do.
What I *didn't* like was the regularly cycling TOD (Time of Day bot?) the company tried out later. Remember when they stuck that in Alphaworld for a couple of months? That kind of constant cycling of world lighting, fog, etc., was interesting if all one were doing was standing around chatting (AWGate), but was a major annoyance to most alphaworld builders as it kept changing the color and appearance of builds.
Several days of straight night a few times a year in Alphaworld, was very cool and would be fun to see again. The change to snow landscape that they used to do every December was fun, too. They didn't switch to snow backdrop for Alphaworld last year. Perhaps they got thin-skinned and huffy about the criticism the Time of Day changes got... a "You all didn't like that? ok, we'll do nothing" type of reaction.

I'm very skeptical they were planning on keeping that TOD thing. I mean, it
made no sense at all. For those that don't remember, it would be normal,
then sunset 15 minutes later, then ??? with strong white fog, then dark,
then...etc etc, it didn't roll and basically made no sense. lol I think
they were just testing something, I dunno. It was waaayyy too bad to be a
permanent thing, I'm sure AWI realized that.

If they were testing something they'd do it in a different world.
