The one on downloads part of site and andras.net open in a dos window and

Yes it does. cobdump3 operates completely through dos via commands lines.

As far as I know, CobToRwx cant just be double clicked, you need to open up
a dos promts, cd into the same directory as CobToRwx and the Cob you want to
convert and typr somthing or other to initialise thep rogram with a command.

Well, I thought we were talking about CobToRwx. lol. In which case, you need

Accutrans is a neat little package for converting from cob to rwx ... it
also enables you to change the scale, do double sided etc as part of the
translation ... you can also make seqs in it. For free I consider that
pretty good value :)

It's shareware and really worth the price.

Why should Wayne keep adding features for AW, if it is
treated as freeware? Trying is for free, but at least
those who like it and use it much should consider to
register.

You're quite correct. I actually purchased it 2 years ago before it had half
the features is has today. Back then you had to pay for it before you got to
use it. While its an excellent little package I dont think it was worth what
I paid for it back then. How do you work out whats a reasonable price?
Considering all the _really_ free stuff out there I doubt I'd pay for it
again if I had to buy each new release. Just my opinion. Admittedly wayne is
a very nice guy though.

reasonable price :

AccuTrans is way cheaper (20 US$) than all competitors that compare
in the number of supported formats, plus it has extra support for
AW specific features that none of the others has. Most competitors
are at least 200 US$, some even 600 and more, at least those that
come with a similar feature and format list. Since the time I bought
it (about 2 years ago too, before the price went down to 20), all
upgrades were covered and no extra licence fee was needed.

Updates come frequently, all reported bugs have been removed within
a short time, plus the AccuTrans newsgroup at news://andras.net,
where users can get help - what more do you expect?

As everyone can try it for free, it is easy to decide if it's worth
the price after the trial time. I tried it and I had a lot of fun
with it, so for me it was worth it :)
