How do I upload picture I've taken with snagit and upload them using the
output.web option? I filled in the information . But when I take a picture
it gives me an error message, " Unable to set the remote directory (2ee3)"
but I know I got every thing correct. I tryed tried it on tripod, I tried it
on geocities. HELP!

make sure there is nothing in the Remote Directory box :)

In the future, you should probably ask things like this in a private email
to either the program's author or to the person who recommended it to you.
If you *really* need the help of AW users, general.discussion would be best
as this doesn't concern AW's community.

Well, he kind of is. lol. Off-topic posts to some newsgroup users means that
the posters aren't taking the newsgroup seriously and using it for personal
ambitions. I think Agent wasn't trying to humiliate him, but rather just
state the rules out in the newsgroups so others can learn from the mistake.

a1cttourist5...I see nothing wrong with your post and I do understand how
your question relates to AW even though it was about other software. Just
ignore a few here that like to preach NG etiquette on a daily basis in every
post. Most others already do :) If you ever need any help and can't get
it here on the NG, then feel free to telegram me. I will try to help
instead of flame.

Yes, actually, it does matter. Even if I did send a private email to them,
others might make the same small mistake in the future.

It's not like I'm suggesting someone be shot for posting in the wrong
newsgroup -- just pointing out a better place for the message.

It's still going to happen either way. New people don't go back and read
old posts, so they'll make the same mistakes, and someone will point it out
again. The tengo continues. It just sucks either way.

Now see? The original question had already been answered. Had you let it
die and privately emailed the original posting soul we wouldn't have this
thread still going. *smiles politely*

I agree it is nice to keep to the topic. But please let us newbies learn
without being afraid to post. I have been watching this newsgroup for a
class assignment. But was afraid to post for the longest time because I
couldn't figure what ppl were being reprimanded for. for instance,
cross-posting was a mystery to me until some wonderful soul explained what
it was and how to prevent it.

Can Snagit have a watermark that is a URL? If not dose anyone know of any
program that can take a jpg url, and add another image already uploaded and
put that as a watermark on the first image and send it to a server?
