Not half as incompetent as your little diciple wing. He's even started to adopt your words, isn't that pathetic.

Because the computers showing seams are in another city. I'm going there in three weeks. Hard to do screenshots from here you know. I could get the exact videocard specifications NOW, but I'd rather do the whole thing properly when I get there. Be patient people, aw isn't going anywhere :).

[View Quote] > And you're too lax. Put up or shut up. Why will it take THREE weeks to do that when you were just OH SO SURE of yourself a day or 2 ago? Inquiring minds want to know...

Re: proof! (was Re: Rolu's bad example)

Because as I've stated there's two different bugs at play. One with inaccurate position (tried to ask Roland about this, he just said it was complicated) and one with SEAMS (within objects). The seambug is quite rare I think, but I will post a bug report on it. The other, well, it didn't sound like Roland was going to fix it any time soon, so I guess you'll just have to learn to live with it.

If you insist:
seams: Rage fury pro - xpert 2000 pro
no seams: Leadtek Nvidia Geforce 256

I'll provide some screenshots later on.

Re: video cards: seams or no seams? (was Re: Rolu's bad example)

Feb 4, 2001, 9:22pm
I'm currently working on converting 2d raster images into vector/polygon graphic (wait til I make this into real 3d objects!). In this snapshot, there are 15.000 polys +, if there's one place there should be seams this is it.

You should've known by now that I'm not talking about that bug, please reread this:

"Because as I've stated there's two different bugs at play. One with inaccurate position (tried to ask Roland about this, he just said it was complicated) and one

Re: objects vs AW object placement (was Re: video cards: seams or no

Feb 5, 2001, 9:43pm
This is a typical eep post; first the personal attack (including inability accusations - you'll get it every time). Then his own way of looking at it (don't try to explain how you look at it - he can only see things from one perspective), then finally the helpful tip of the day - coherence in my posts.

Thanks eep, you always make my day.
ps: coherence is a truck, and it got stuck in the mud. Drive on!

[View Quote] > You're "funny", Assmunch. You reply to a post about your inability to post video cards exhibiting gaps/seams BETWEEN objects (which is what I, Rolu, Wing, and everyone else in this thread--except you, apparently--have been talking about since its inception) to some arbitrary bug about seams in objects. While I've only really noticed the (intra)OBJECT seams in Casay's Lincoln Log set, I see the (inter)object (between) seams/gaps ALL the time. Let's stick to the more important and noticeable bug of the two, eh? But I'm sure they're related to the same shitty math.

how incompetent can AWCI get? god damn...

Feb 8, 2001, 6:33pm
I have only seen this discussion from one side since I filtered eep a little while back. What strikes me is how this is made into a real big issue, ban him or don't; I don't really care. But please don't blow up his ego even more with your long post (trying to convince eep with logic heh it's kind of naive) or turning this into a vote. If I were you I would probably ignore/filter eep so he can't turn this into another AWCI suck webpage. And he would probably take down his renderware site if he were banned too...

Vote to stop the vote

Feb 9, 2001, 5:24pm
Stop, yes please stop. This whole thing is ridiculous. This newsgroup has never revolved so much about eep as it does now.

We need to forget this whole thing and move on.

I don't think people look at you as an enemy, on the contrary. But some of us saw how this would end; engaging in battle with eep seldom results in anything good. Let him be, let him make useful internet sites, and ignore him in the newsgroups if you don't like to be abused. It's that simple.

Keep up posting useful information here, it's appreciated :-)

KAH, I would go for a geforce considering aw3.2 will probably support hardware T&L.
