After discussion with the Devteam, they have agreed to reinstate the "box"
method versus the "Sphere" method for the visual view. The change should be
in effect later today.
May the scavenger hunt continue :-)

We know many of you are trying hard to reopen Freebies word, and we have
made several communication attempts to contact the owner, but he has yet to
respond. Without a Propdump of the world we would be unable to reactivate
it.
We will keep you posted about any new developments.

Many thanks to Mike, who was kind enough to forward us his version of the
Freebies propdump . There is a world called Freebie2 that should be a copy
from several month ago. No guarantees on how long the object path will stay
up though.

For those that are having high CPU usage problems, please try this version
at:
http://objects.activeworlds.com/downloads/awb949c.exe
and let us know if you continue to have this problem. This problem is not a
result of the 4.1 version acting up but the encryption software we use to
protect the exe. The version above uses a different encryption program and
may help some users who are experiencing problems with the other encryption.

New release update today should have the cell limits back to their 3.6

The world server 78 is fine, it was the Admin tool that was part of the
world server 78 install that was bad. You can download the new admin tool
separately at http://objects.activeworlds.com/downloads/admin.exe and
replace the one that came with your awswin78.exe download. The website has
now been updated so the current awswin78 world server has the correct Admin
exe in it.

The visible radius of avatars and bots in world has changed in 4.1. It is
now a sphere around the
avatar's location, unlike in 3.6 where the visual view was represented by a
box. This is not a bug and there are
no plans to change it.
