Ever hear of punctuation?! Give it a shot :) .. If I knew anything about
bots or bot programming, I'd give you a hand, but thats not my department so I can't help, sorry. [View Quote] the next step in programing :PMay 30, 2005, 12:39pm
Again with the punctuation >.<.. Anyways, i'm not a programmer, although
I have some experience with basic C++/ Programming is a tedious, at times boring process, so to do this properly, you have to overcome the desire for entertainment while you focus on what you are doing. It takes time to make somethihng work properly, and many different modes of getting there. Tomas Edison for example, tried 2000 ways to make a lightbuld, and found one way that worked. Patience and time will teach you how to make the GUI function and how to make it work. [View Quote] VehiclesMay 24, 2005, 4:41pm
What about passengers?! teh Avatar way wouldn't allow that, but having a
moving object interact with avatars, like in most 1st prson shooters, then the implimentation wouldnt be too hard. The hard part would be steering and whatnot! Bean VehiclesMay 29, 2005, 2:31pm
Mommy Mommy!! Look at this old dried up program!!! I'm so happy ^_^
*tosses it in the trash* [View Quote] BooleanJun 3, 2005, 1:40pm
What AW needs is Boolean statements incorporated into the action command
of object properties. Yesterday night I underwent starting to build a no-bot calcualtor in AWTeen. Difficult task, but I've made progress. It ranges from 1 or 2, (plus, minus, divide, or Multiply) by 1,2,3 or 4. I di dhtis with no bot. I will be able to add 3 and 4 to the initialising numbers, but to add anything else will make it very complex, and aside from that, cell limits will kill me. I guess a problem to boolean statements, is that cell space would be used up much easier, and if clever enough (Strike -_-) could essentially program a bot-like object.. or not, I don't know.. Anyways, another idea to throw on the pile of rejects fo AWI. :) Cheers Bean BooleanJun 10, 2005, 12:41am
My offering... A functioning calcualtor in AWTeen at 1530n 1000e. Take a
peek, test it out. Note, it is semi-buggy, so if you get a wrong ansewer, click C (clear) and try again and it should work. Have fun! Bean iNuma RadioApr 18, 2005, 1:53am
Bare with us, more Techniculties. Doesnt help when I'm on the opther
side of the world trying to remotely set up Meh's Computer and router >.< cheers [View Quote] To AWI: Remove JacobMay 29, 2005, 1:30am
I have no opinion here wether anyone should be removed, but actually
expalin the bug in more detail, and in proper english so we actually know what you mean. Write a report, and send it to AWI, not the NG's.. for example, to the telegram stuck moving one, you could have said: I found a bug while reading telegrams. When a motion key is pressed when clicking a telegram to read it, that motion key's action continues until you press "shift" and "back" or swithch to another window other than AW. See? thats more explanitory, and gives the reader more idea to the problem. My rant ^_^ Cheersd. Bean [View Quote] To AWI: Remove JacobMay 29, 2005, 4:17am
How old are all these beta testers? SOme seem not old enough to
understand what a 'bug' is [View Quote] To AWI: Remove JacobMay 29, 2005, 2:33pm
I was plainly using that as an example, as it was the only thing I
understood from the 2 recent 'bug' posts from Jacob [View Quote] Help aid AW!May 31, 2005, 1:03pm

Howdy! Problem: TerraForge doesnt like people building. When I have a
bunch of objects selected, with lotsa data (part of my calcualtor for example) and I put it where I want it, and click away to set it there, TerraForge randomly deletes half of the selection, and makes it unretrieveable. I have been lucky, and a) bot copied my calcualtor before, and b0 not been working on active parts (copying before I change around as an insureance to not mess up). This is really annoying, Also what happens is TerraForge sais: [TerraForge]: (to DaBean o) Welcome to awteen. You have access to the terrain editing system. Say 'd:begin' to edit terrain. right after. Which actually looks like I might be wrong rambling on about this because my bot sais I re-entered AWTeen (bounced) omg whats up?!?! Bean TerraForge in AWTeenJun 10, 2005, 3:31am
Furthermore:
Heres what I've observed upon closer inspeection.. I dont know if it is due to massive data being copied, but: After selecting objects in 4 cells ( 127 objects, extensively programmed) and move to another group of cells to work on.. the world server boots me, then re-connects me, loosing half my copy.. very annoying and time consuming. TerraForge in AWTeenJun 10, 2005, 2:17pm
I figured the problem out.. It wasn't TerraForge, but just moving too
much dats for teh memory buffer causing the connection to AW to get lost, causing only patrial movement of the objects. In essence (how I understand it now anyways) this is like cell spac, where only a certainamount of dats can fit a certain area at once, only a certain amount of data can be introduced into the memory buffer for copying/moving objects. Thanks for explaining this to me Strike. Bean TerraForge in AWTeenJun 11, 2005, 8:06am

For the N'th time, we have decided it was no t a problem with the bot,
read the posts and sub posts, It's been expalined multiple times. This topic is dead.. Thanks for the help guys : ) Bean TerraForge in AWTeenJun 12, 2005, 12:29am
