And just think of how many people have already gone. I know MOST of the people I met when I first came to AW are gone. Not just gone to another universe. GONE. Until recently that meant that they had lost interest in 3D altogether. But there are so many new programs under development now that it won't be the case much longer. I highly recommend anyone who hasn't had a chance already... take a look at Adobe Atmosphere. More capabilities in some respects than AW already. And FREE.... how can you beat that? But that's just the tip of the iceberg. Those of us who think that 3D VR is a big part of the future of computing now know that AW will be a footnote in that future and not much more. If you're too set in your ways to figure that out though. Hang in there for the next episode of Mayberry RFD. hehe Ban Cyclone Cit#340396Apr 21, 2002, 6:03pm
I believe it was Reagan who said that in back-and-forth leading up to

From Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913) [web1913]:
Exclusive \Ex*clu"sive\a. [Cf. F. exclusif.] 1. Having the power of preventing entrance; debarring from participation or enjoyment; possessed and enjoyed to the exclusion of others; as, exclusive bars; exclusive privilege; exclusive circles of society. Exclusivity has done a lot to sell the AW community short IMHO. This is just one more drop in the bucket. Can I pick this up on ordinary cable? Or do I need a satellite dish? Well, although I've said my good-byes here, I have 20 something days
left and I couldn't help but second your remarks. Roland may well have contributed more to the AW technology that anyone else in its short history. As is all too often the case such people sneak out with hardly a good-bye from all those they have benefited. Let's all wish him a bright and prosperous future that he deserves. [View Quote] |
