I wish someone could tell me the changes that have been implemented

Lots of great ideas, but now I can't see what has been implemented. I
can only think of the fog and the way the textures render, which are
great additions, but is there a list of new functions in one place (do
to my fleeting memory) where we can review the new attributes available
to us so we can be sure to try them out??? Thanks, Ingie

OMG, Decade had a great idea up there, only the subject line doesn't
catch your eye!!! My goodness, yes!!!! if Avatars could be
assemble-able in world, everyone can create their own
identities.....finally!!!! this head on that body, faces that can be
texturemapped from some other sourse on the web....just like signs.
custom clothing....shoot, all you do is choose the object types, head
type outfit type, texture them, etc... GOSH it could be soooooo
fun!!!!!! Waddaya think? Roland??? You listening??? ;o)

Oh, Is it where the image also is prevented from "Pixeling" when you get close? I know that's one of the new features, but I wouldn't
want to turn that off, I like that feature :o)

for a given location? That could be really cool....... just an
illusion, not control over the panorama of a world. It could make AW
free for more creativity, and could give world owners a way to put in
multiple themes in their worlds??? Waddaya Think?

Yes, I know of the Pana changer, or whatever it's called (no offense) I guess what I was trying to say
is to be able to change the background when people arrive at your plot of land in an open building world
or for changing the look of your world if you want to have different levels or something.

What do you mean by inefficient, Eep? You mean it would take up too much of your building
space/allowable?

OK, I know this has probably been said many times, and probably not so long
ago, but I've been gone a few years, so I'm sticking it in here. It's also
a question, as in how plausable is it?

I would like to see some kind of implementation where people could use their
own personal avatar everywhere in AW/other worlds/ other programs that use
this technology. Can't this be done? They used to do it in Blaxxun. World
Owners could limit file sizes too, in order to avoid people overtaxing the
system.

Any progress in this direction?

I was also thinking there could be an Avatar approval group, who would rate
the AV, and if it is rated R, then it could only be used in R and up type
worlds, if G then, it could go anywhere. I mean, we don't need to have them
limited.

Could you make it so that if you touch a couch, or chair, you use it? I
mean, you sit down? or a bed, you lay down, sitting in AW would help the
realism alot. It really would be great if an object could be created with
an interaction ability, and when "used" it would call up a seq which would
make the AV sit, until "unused"

Is this impossible to implement? I mean, we don't even have that many
actions available to us, nor the ability to sit (on the floor) like you can
in almost every RPG game. Is AW cornered by it's architecture in some way?

I know what you're saying, but I don't think it can be done. I think you
could get the effect, though, if you created an object to fit in the square
hole made in the terrain, and use that instead? I know it wouldn't be easy,
especially if it's angled, but it could be done?

What's with the sarcasm? by the way, I've been asking for sit/sleep seq
that "held" until canceled since I joined in 1998. I still can't figure out
why they haven't done it, it's stupid not to have it.

As for the cache system needing to be rewritten, do it! It only gets worse
as time goes on if you keep building on a faulty foundation. Heck, why
waste the breath, AW doesn't ever learn..... They should just go open
source, then things might work properly, but I'd hate to deal with that
code.... ugh... and we don't really have a coding community.... Nah, it
would die in its tracks....
