It'd be great if aw had a registration page when people (new btw) want to
join active worlds. This would greatly reduce -unknown- 0 cit names in
awnewbie and hack about 96% of deleters in it.
The resgistration page would be just an advanced log in screen really. ie..

after this the page will close, then following a silent save of all your
settings in some new folder activeworlds can make when registering.
then it would query the info over to a brand new Reg Server ( which by now
the computer (client) would copy the data in the folder (btw, aw can have
some new privacy file type for security against hacking) and it would save
and respond back whether the name was already taken etc..etc..and allow them
in.
Every time they log in aw, aw ( client) would check its file and compare
with aw ( server) and compare the 2 and see if any changes have occured. if
so the server could say IE

An error has occured in our databank or in your computer
:reg.data does not match reg.data on server:
please make sure you have not done any changes in your registration
information.


=DDD oh..btw, when they register the server will send additional data into
the reg.data on YOUR and ITS databank,which would of course be the
registration number of the tourist and can be tracked and viewed ONLY by
personel of aw and those who require it. ( security deal with aw....)

I like that idea...that way huge towers can be built but high graphic detail
(street posts,newspapers flying etc) could be invisible until you get in
range of them? Great idea.

Look, everyone.

The purpose of the council would be to finally merge the bond between the
tyrant and the people.

meaning...the missing bond between AWI and everyone.
of course AWI wont just open up to us.
But at least you have a set group of people working for everything BELOW the
level of AWI.

The council would be in charge of many things
1:Official events in the activeworlds universe
and no, bingo doesnt cut it. Not everyone likes bingo
and as far as i know, bingo is the official aw sport.
No other events take place beside those that should nearly be unalieable
events
Valentines...4th of July...Thanksgiving....Easter...Christmas.
Of course aw HAS to do these events.
it would go bad on them if they didnt. ( go figure)
2: Over all see of all worlds that are within the community.
AWGate, AW, AWNewbie...AWRpg AWteen A!CT
(and any other world within the center ring of the
community....entertainment..building.....)
3:Some say in how worlds are managed,monitered ( above, not including a!ct
since Bruce is in charge of that.)
4: Public speaker in the worlds listed above. of course not (again, A!!CT is
different because aw does not own the world.)
5: Like Zeo said above, the current beta status...upcoming events ( no
enzo...the welcome message is to darn slow.. =(... ) World of the month
awards.....
6: Create events for the activeworlds community
7: in charge of bonding the community ( someone has to do it!...plus what
better way)
More but i cant think of any...pop up attacks..

It has come to my attention that there have been massive scale pop up
attacks in the active worlds browser.
Some people suggest it it spyware, or adware
EVERYONE IS URGED TO DOWNLOAD SOME SORT OF SPYWARE/ADWARE DESTROYER
IMMEDIATLY.
This isnt a test or something i did just because i was bored
Ive been bombarded by the same pop up for hours now
it reads

I HATE POP UPS!

Please do not take this lightly.
It appears as though it travels to random users. mainly citizens of aw.
PLEASE YOU ARE ALL URGED TO DOWNLOAD something to protect yourself of pop
ups.

This is NOT a test but a way to alert the people of aw.
The pop up is NOT LIKE OTHERS
it is persistent.
The pop up is about a company trying to sell you a pop up blocker.
SELL...
Rumors are that this is all the fault of the company itself.
much like Telemarketing
You better do something about this E N Z O.
it spreads like a virus.

Update: it seems the pop ups are tied with msn messenger/windows messenger
yet just now 9:15 central time i received dual-pop ups....thisCANNOT be
good.


I still urge you all to download some kind of spyware deleter.
NOT spywarenuker..its a cheap trial that doesnt even WORK ( for free)

A MULTITUDE OF POP UPS ARE SHOWING UP SIMUTANEOUSLY ON PEOPLE.

People, these pop up raids are not connected with windows messenger.
I have those messages disabled from day one

A its not connected with windows messenger

B Aw seems to cause it.

C Spyware deletion downloads DO NOT WORK

D No Jstone, i havent given out my email to anyone.....unless one of YOU
people have set a spam attacks on me via NG's..

E Thank you Buildrez for those 4 links to adware/spyware deletion stuff.

F And for the last time everyone, the pop ups are in no conection with
messenger.

May i remind you both that these ng's arent meant to harass peoples?....and
i DID uninstall msn and it still went on Starfleet.....im not saying it
could be directly aw...may be some stuff m a tt is cooking up

Im afraid that the pop up raids have stopped ( thank the lord).......i dont
have any pics i can show you of these attacks...they've seem to have gone,

I dont know Kah, but im not blaming aw directly...
maybe...just some strange thing....some kids are messing with the set up of
aw...i dont mean its source code..but maybe dwelling inside the community
like a virus and attaching a registry code into the Reg...Im not so sure
about this..this is what it might be nor how could they..

Checked..and on top of that my 2nd firewall would have detected new exe's
wanting access to the internet.

And i used to have kazzaa.. uninstalled as soon as i heard Microsoft sued
it.

I agree with Ep0ch.

When AW first started we had nearly 2000

etc....someone i know did the math and aw lost over 80% of their users when
they made you PAY.

AW is slowly disintergrating into ashes if E N ZO doesnt do something about
these prices on worlds and citizenships.
