visible range property for all objects (Wishlist)
visible range property for all objects // WishliststarfleetNov 15, 2003, 2:52am
It would be useful if one could set the visible range for each object. So
one could make huge objects visible from far away while small things like flowers could be set to a low visibility range like 20m. Every object would have a default visible range set in the rwx file or wherever. ssl.Nov 15, 2003, 4:17am
I like that idea...that way huge towers can be built but high graphic detail
(street posts, newspapers flying etc) could be invisible until you get in range of them? Great idea. its how AWI has the Globe thing in awgate set. =\ "just HOW DO THEY DO IT? Mike? back to you." codewarriorNov 15, 2003, 5:07am
AWGate is actually a P1, and all the avatars are little teeenie tiny
miniatures, so the vis setting of 200 meters is actually really 200 kilometers in scale. ;-D [View Quote] bowen ten.sardna@newobNov 15, 2003, 5:09am

No, it's built into the ground object, there are actually 2 globes, the
rotating one is a normal 60m visibility one, when you go farther away you'll see a smaller non-rotating one. [View Quote] ssl.Nov 15, 2003, 1:47pm
Really? I never noticed. I always thought it was the same globe.
