World Renewal??? (Community)
World Renewal??? // Communitycrazy canuckDec 20, 2000, 10:20pm
I guess active worlds loves to take the money and provide no service. I
have renewed my world (11/30/00) by charge card and received a receipt by email stating this was accepted. My citizenships renewed almost immediately, but the world did not. Then the fun began ....... 12/05/00 - sent an email to aw asking what the problem was. They blamed it on the server being down. OK I gave them that as I knew it was down. 12/15/00 - 10 days later I resent a new email explaining my problem, again asking for them to renew my world. My mistake was to include all the information on the receipt except the world name. I couldn't understand why with all the technology they couldn't look it up themselves as they had all the other info about me. I replied to the email as instructed with the world name. 12/18/00 - resent a new email with all the info + the world name, again asking for them to renew my world. This time no reply and no world renewal. 12/19/00 - resent same email asking for a renewal or a full refund if this cannot be accomplished. This time I sent a copy of the email to Enzo. 12/20/00 - allmost to the point of one day left and still no reply from anyone!!! I'm almost had it with this crap. What does a guy need to do to get action. They took my money the same day I originally renewed (shows on my credit card bill). They also replied to several emails at first then nothing since. Peeved of person! zeroDec 20, 2000, 10:25pm
I would call and get it straightened out.
Every company on the planet is hard to at times deal with via email. If i have an aw related problem, I always call and talk to them right then and there. If the person that needs to straighten it out isnt around, then i call till i get them Z! [View Quote] > I guess active worlds loves to take the money and provide no service. Should I call collect, reverse the charges...... or bill them??????? Why
the hell do they have on line registration and renewal if you HAVE to call?? Doesnt that defeat the purpose? [View Quote] zeroDec 21, 2000, 1:21am

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit yes it does defeat the purpose. And indoing so when I would call, i would tell them all the things you have been through to have this done. Thus showing them their mistakes. Sorry, have the ppl I deal with from my ISP to anything else i have on line, I call, then i know that I am talkin to someone right then and there and i make sure they get it done. Just my opinion, but it works fine for me. :) Z! [View Quote] > Should I call collect, reverse the charges...... or bill them??????? Erm... did you try restarting the world server? After the server came
back up, everyone had to reboot their own world servers in order to get them working again. I'm assuming this is a stupid question, but just thought I'd ask... [View Quote] -- Goober King Stupid questions from stupid people... rar1 at acsu.buffalo.edu crazy canuckDec 21, 2000, 3:32pm

Just for the european users, how the hell can you contact them like that
without ending up with a majorly expensive phone bill. I live in Norway, and as far as I have registered, there is no such thing as collect calls either. :( Norway-USA calls = damn expensive!!!! oyo, M a g n u s [View Quote] |
