Question about TrueSpace (General Discussion)
Question about TrueSpace // General Discussion

I have Truespace 5.1, I want to make a tall hollow vertical cylander, like
300 300 800, I do not want it to be solid all the way thru, I have tried a
torus (too thick) and a cylander (can not make it open ended). I can not
figure out how to make the cylander hollow so there's no top or bottom, what
tool in TS does this?

You have to make 2 cylinders one just a bit smaller in diameter then the
other.
Then delete the smaller one in the center and it will cut from the larger
one making it hollow inside.

ohh yea, and make sure that smaller ones ends stick out a bit past the
bigger ones ends.
That will make it open on both ends as well as open all the way through it.

Hmmm? I must be doing something wrong i deleted the smaller cylinder and the

Not the delete key...
There is an operation in one of the buttons calle "Boolean Subtract".
First Create both objects.
Then select the object you want to subtract the other object from.
(the mouse pointer will change to a pointer with a minus symbol in it)
Then select the object you want to subtract from the first object.
After you do this, right click outside of anything to revert to normal
opearation, or you will continue to subtract every object you click.
