Seems that fix for my CD-ROM was a temp fix :-(
Its doing it again!
reading 1 CD and refusing all others.
The problem IS NOT the CD-ROM or my CD's
Here is proff, it will read only 1 CD the game Diablo, and I just got
Diablo2 for x-mas and its new never used and it will not read that.

so someone please list ALL information that will cause this sort of thing to
happen.
my repair guy is at a loss to ideas and so is the CD-ROM tech support.
someone........anyone........please help me.....

Ok I'm going to say this once more.. buy a new CD-ROM. The internal parts
of your CD-ROM now are broken completely. Either that or BRING IT to the
repair guy.. that's what he's there for.. not to pester. He's not going to
tell you how to fix it since he's not making money.

I agree with Bowen; go get yourself a brand new CD-ROM or CD/DVD-ROM
drive for Christmas, Data. Here is a listing of drives from Tiger

I just got one there for $30.00. That's probably less than what you paid
for Diablo II. =)

Okay: Everything that will cause this:

Peeling plastic from drive parts, wipe plastic dust off, remove jaggies,
insert drive cleaner to clear lens
[Check for that first]

Bad drive
[Do this second, you should always have a second on hand anyway]

Bad Windows
[Do this anyway, it's good system maintinence]

Bad user
[Commit suicide if all else fails]

who buy dodgy CD-Rom drives dont u? lol
