something i have been thinking about // General Discussiondata21Dec 18, 2001, 1:41pm
You know all this new stuff that came out due to what went on Sept. 11, 2001
Well some of that I just really hate. Think about it, we would NOT have it if it was not for that day, so in a sense if you buy it, sure the money is going where it should. This makes me mad but just think about who you have to thank for it. Yep thats right the terrorists, because without them we wouldn't have this stuff! Thats just sick!!! And why do we always have to name stuff after people that die, why not name it after them when they are alive!!!! Come on people we are making money off of someones death, and I hate it!!!! goober kingDec 18, 2001, 3:07pm
Umm... what are you talking about?! *boggle*

Im in the USA and its just what I see.
as you know our world traide center buildings where destroied by terrorists. and right afer that we started getting all this new products out now. people selling the amarican flag for way to much money, amarican hero coins being made. all because people died. these things would not be made at all if that day did not happon. Sure they sell flags all over, but never for this much money. Im just sickend by it. Always makeing things over a death of a persion or persions. Why not make them when the persion or persions are ALIVE! [View Quote] bowenDec 18, 2001, 4:21pm
*whips out spell check and tries to translate that into sensible English*
destroied? persions? amarican? happon? sickend? heh sorry but you really should learn how to spell properly.. there are quite a few non-english people here. --Bowen-- [View Quote] alphabit phalphaDec 18, 2001, 4:36pm
Having worked indepth in the retail field, I can assure you that products
are made in celebration of the living. Take for instance Princess Diane and Prince Charles wedding. I agree with you that there are some pretty high ticket items out there, which could be less. But there are also items like Tshirts at a low end price of 3.99. And according to signs in stores, alot of merchandise has some of the monies being contributed to organizations attempting to assist in the mourning and losses. Fortunately the greatest gift we can ever give to those who suffer has a price tag of $0:) [View Quote] data21Dec 18, 2001, 6:28pm
not sure how your schooling is, but mine sucked, teachers never cared about
the students, all they cared about was getting paid. spelling classes stopped at 6th grade and they where a waste they where teaching how to spell small words that all people know. And english class not sure how yours went but mine hardly taught anything useful. Thats just one of many reasons I hated school, and im glad im finally out of that crap hole. Yes I did graduate, never failed any grade or class. [View Quote] bowenDec 18, 2001, 6:31pm
Mine is almost as bad as yours is. Most of the teachers get paid $30K a
year.. so they have to put some effort in to at least get more. :) I furthered my education other places.. but my school is one of the worse in the state education wise.. also under a standardized testing regime.. that makes it so much better!!! *sarcasm alert* --Bowen-- [View Quote] data21Dec 18, 2001, 6:38pm
Same, I furthered my education in the area of electronics.
Now don't you wish school, grades 1-12 where like most collages, teaching wise... [View Quote] wing.Dec 18, 2001, 6:43pm
Heh, let me tell you this, in the state's BEST school things aren't any
better, except that we have 19 people in about half the classes whereas most schools have 32 in some, 44 in others. Maryland is in the process of changing from one standardized testing system to another (MSPAP + MFT's (5 of them) to MSPAP + MFT's (4 of them) + HSA's (4 of them) to MSPAP + HSA's (5 of them) Guess which class gets to take ALL of them? If you said mine, you're exactly right. [View Quote] bowenDec 18, 2001, 6:55pm
LoL That sucks bad.. my class lucked out.. they made the tests harder for
the class following us.. the Regents *NY's standardized tests* is the worse of all the tests.. they ask the most bizarre and time consuming questions about the simplest problem of them all.. repeat this for 100 questions.. then repeat 5 more times.. 5 regents + 5 midterms.. :) oh yeah.. in case you're wondering where the 5th one is from LoL that's because you're required by the state to take a foreign language.. if you don't.. you don't get your regents diploma.. sucks doesn't it? But I got my regents diploma already.. now I need my HS one.. the one that counts.. :) I wonder if this is going to be a contest to see who's school sucks the most! LoL --Bowen-- [View Quote] bowenDec 18, 2001, 7:26pm
My school is going to take away the senior study hall/senior lunch because
the principal feels we don't deserve it.. along with we're not allowed to enter any other door but the main door since the 9/11 incident. Not even when it's raining or there's a blizzard.. how about that? :) --Bowen-- [View Quote] agent1Dec 18, 2001, 8:14pm

What if terrorists hijacked your school and flew it into a skyscraper?!
-Agent1 PS - Hope everyone's SarcasmDetectors are plugged in :) bowenDec 18, 2001, 8:25pm
Lmao I'd clap at their stupidity. Much like that of my school's
administration ;) I don't know what they're thinking half the time it's so unbelievably stupid. --Bowen-- [View Quote] wing.Dec 18, 2001, 9:20pm
One of my vice principals looks like a walrus, tusks and all. Oh, and he
also shoplifts CAFETERIA FOOD! [View Quote] bowenDec 18, 2001, 9:33pm
LoL in the school handbook it says anyone can bring in a handgun *if you're
over the age of 16.. otherwise you don't need it* if they have written permission to do so by their parents. Anything else is illegal. --Bowen-- [View Quote] bowenDec 18, 2001, 10:20pm
LoL careful.. there's some trailer trash.. and lots of it here.. no offence
if you live in a trailer :). But they're genuine trailer trash, so they'd have bigger and better guns then you could get.. heh.. and one of the reasons for the no entering the side doors is because of bombs.. you really think if someone was bringing in a bomb they couldn't get it past the 80 yr olds "guarding" the door.. along with the chick with a lazy eye. Yeah.. I feel secure :) --Bowen-- [View Quote] |
