Does anyone know what has happened to the object "xsign.rwx" that was in
the alpha world object path? It seems to have disappeared, and that annoys
me significantly!

Ugh.

I was *just* informed that the object was taken out of the object path on
the other afternoon, due to it having an encroachment issue - I didnt know
about this at all, and will try to put it back in before the weekend, if I
can fix the object today.

Apologies.

Are there any plans to fix these encroachment problems, or is it just easy
to not let us use them? -_-

It would require a registry change... That could also mean needing to restart the world server.

Fixing the objects registry entry and keeping the object on the path would
be a simple thing. There may be some of the objects built that would
remain encroaching without causing any problems.

The only thing would be if you placed the object in a position where
ordinarily it would have encroached, but didn't because its registry entry
was too small, you would no longer be able to edit it unless you moved it to
a non-encroaching position.

Oh, on second thoughts, the person whose objects are now encroached upon
would also be unable to edit them. They will have to fill in a GET form to
get the object deleted or shifted out of the space.

It will be fixed on Monday , my apologies for the delay. I had checked most
of these objects, and I'm frankly really surprised that this has taken this
long to come up - and yet I remember that the xsign was one of the last
objects that I had *fixed* in the registry when I lat put it in....

But, it was a while ago, so I'm not sure. Best I can do is make sure its
fixed on Monday - hay, we all knew there were going to be some issues with
the X objects, but I do apologise for missing this one.

Facter.
