I'm very distressed about the loss of information your newsgroup
restructuring has caused. As a regular user (what ActiveWorlds staff
pertinently is NOT), I lost all the material I collected about this
community. I have been a bot maker for Active Worlds for a few years now,
since the SDK exists. I could always refer to past articles, compare,
refresh... you deleted this opportunity.

New times are new times, but respect for your users (or the lack of) is a
sign of your strength (or weakness).

Wish you luck,

XelaG

Xela - im not sure what you mean, but ALL of the posts are still here, that
is why it took so long to get these NG's back up, because we didnt want to
lose anything in them....im reading stuff back to 1999....maybe you havnt
set your newsreader right.

Also, I use AW every day....alot of the time for my own private purposes -
as do quite a few others of us here. Alot of us sometimes even use other
citizen names, because of the constant telegramming and such we get in our
private time (like when im in the worlds at night hanging out with friends,
I dont want to be telegrammed every second by people wanting support when im
not working, I want to hang out with my mates and drink some evening beer
and relax you know?) so that statement is quite ...well, false =P

Xelag, I am sure you will be happy to know that we still have this data and
you should have access to it like you have in the past. Please read my post
concerning the downage.

Nope, I think I'll have to go with Xela too. Although I'm sure the data is
still there (it even says so on my bottom status screen), my Outlook Express
reader only shows the posts up to June 6th, which is strange, but very
convienent. hehe. No more do I have to download millions of headers. :))

Outlook is a POS, it requires you to go to tools/get next 300 headers to read back, and then if you don't configure it right, it
deletes all the posts permanently so you can't read them again after a week.
