Agreed. In-fact, the whole menu (Telegrams, Teleports) should be kept
server side. I hate coming back from a format and losing everything I had saved. Yours Sincerely, Samuël ML Lison -- DreamCities.net - A Community for All! Not unless you backed up telegrams.dat/idx :)

In my case, that was not a possibility. My 160gig Western Digital hard
drive totally died on my, cracking noises as it ran and OS would not even start up anymore. And the computer is NEVER moved from it's location. Never will I purchase from Western Digital again. I now have a 120gig Serial ATA Seagate drive, wonderful ;o) Oh, and my western digital was sent off for warranty, might be a few more months till I see that one again... Hope they don't see all those Usenet binary pictures I happened to be collecting! O_o <cough> Yours Sincerely, Samuël ML Lison -- DreamCities.net - A Community for All! Thats why your meant to do monthly / Weekly / Daily backups to an external
medium :O I would reccomend a few pen drives, 512MB or 1GB ones on the market now, Disgo seems pretty good and you can password protect it, use a ..BAT file to do your backups automatically to save you time. - MR pc hamsterNov 4, 2004, 11:21pm
Hi everyone:
[View Quote] I know what you mean Samuel. :-) I once took my computer into the shop to get a (now old)13 GB Maxtor Hard Drive replaced (I'm NOT a "Do-It-Yourself" type of person), but when I went back to pick up my computer, I **FORGOT** THE 13 GB Maxtor (which was perfectly functional BTW). It had LOADS of "girlie" VIDEOS on it too (some of them pretty borderline too). I'm surprised I haven't had any visits by The Feds yet (Not that I would *actually* want that :-) ). I had used it as my D:\ Drive while my (now old) 30 GB Hard Drive was the C:\ Drive which had my OS installed on it. I replaced the 13 GB Hard Drive with an (also now old) 80 GB Hard Drive. So yeah Samuel, I *DEFINATELY* know EXACTLY what you mean. :-} *LOL!* Cheers for now everyone :-) PC Hamster Mayor - City Of Hamsterville pchamster at comcast.net Denver, Colorado (my REAL city :-)) http://hamsterville.tripod.com/ HAMSTERVILLE GROUND ZERO - AW 5029N 500E (NEW COORDINATES!!!) --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Why would the shop go snooping through all your files? :P
They prolly couldn't report anything anyway cause they'd be accused of privacy infringement X_X [View Quote] |
