This Area Is Too Full Message From Building Inspector (Wishlist)
This Area Is Too Full Message From Building Inspector // Wishlistpc hamsterMar 25, 2004, 1:37am
Hi everyone:
I'm sure this message had a purpose back in the day, but the "This Area Is Too Crowded" error message from Building Inspector has outlived its usefulness IMO. Not only that, but it also hinders a builder's ability to be CRAFTY both inside AND outside of their build. One doesn't need to go any further than the immediate area surrounding AlphaWorld to see the SKELETON structures of (now) run-down ghetto-looking buildings to see what I mean. Another example of this is in Yeti City, which has HUGE buildings WITH NO FLOORS (let alone anything else!) AT ALL in many cases. PLEASE......PLEASE.....PLEASE AWI....._GET RID_ of the "This Area Is Too Full" message in Building Inspector so that we can MAKE USE of some of that furniture Lara GENEROUSLY put in her object yard (and do so on more than one or two floors). Just my opinion.... Cheers for now :-) PC Hamster Mayor - City Of Hamsterville Hamster Ground Zero Area - AW 5000N 272E NEW WEBSITE - http://hamsterville.tripod.com/ pchamster at comcast.net Denver, Colorado (my REAL city :-)) --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. This may enlighten you as to why it's not happening anytime soon: http://www.activeworlds.com/roland/features/increase_cell_limit.html
In short: "The biggest obstacle right now to increasing the maximum cell data limit is the current design of the property protocol between the browser and world server." [View Quote] ferruccioMar 26, 2004, 6:05am
Well, I DO think that Alpha World needs to have a larger cell limit (cell
limit set to large, like in AWTeen, perhaps?) We can't keep holding back the potential of Active Worlds' main building worlds simply because a few people don't have newer computers. The price went up to $70 a year, equal to that of much higher quality MMORPGs, so why not raise the bar as well? [View Quote] rossyboyMar 31, 2004, 2:32pm
Lag isn't dependant on how many objects are in an area. It is dependant
on how many POLYGONS are in an area. [View Quote] |
