Selecting 7+ objects only to blow it all away by an accidental click on terrain becomes infuriating after a while, especially when it happens every other time. There should be a way to "lock" the Object Properties dialog so that it doesn't close on any kind of click until either the window is closed through the "X" or by unlocking.

Rather have it so clicks on terrain are not recognized while holding the Shift key.
And left-clicking should de-select terrain.

Or alternatively, how about adding a "save selection list as group" feature, that would allow you to later select the same set of objects (if they still exist) by loading the saved selection list?

And, perhaps... an "undo last build operation" item in the file menu that would keep a memory of what objects were just changed, placed, or deleted, and how to restore them.
