Telegram "Responded" Icon (Wishlist)
Telegram "Responded" Icon // Wishlist

I wish that telegrams would work a bit like email - having a "responded" or
"forwarded" icon to let me know if I forwarded or replied to any telegrams.
Recieving about 6 to 8 telegrams whenever I log on, and an additional 20 or
so when I'm actually online can be a bit hard to keep up with (anyone who
gets more telegrams than this probably have a harder time keeping up).
Speaking of forwarding telegrams, it'd be nice for that to be a feature when
right-clicking a telegram.

Well about the reply vs send, there could be "Send a telegram" or "Reply to
this telegram" options, with Send a telegram basically being what Reply is
now. As for quotes, it could be an option checkmarked for Reply to this
telegram.

I have directly replied to (or forwarded). I can see a complication in this
though. I often click Reply from the context menu as a quick way to bring
up the Send Telegram dialog box rather than to send an actual reply, and if
quoted replies were handled the same as they are in e-mails there would
really be no reasonable way for the dialog box to know the difference.
Also, having telegrams quoted by default when you reply to them would add
quite a bit to the amount of telegram text the universe server would have to
handle, not to mention that quotes of telegrams that already contained
quotes might quickly excede the telegram size limit... and right now, if
someone really wants to copy a telegram and paste it in as a quote, it can
be done.

> Here's a thought... Perhaps when you click reply a checkbox could be made
available to "[_] Include quoted text of selected telegram" so that is the
box is checkmarked, the exact text of the telegram that is selected in the
Telegrams list (without any quotes that it contained) would be encapsulated
as if it were an attached item and not just part of the text. By default
the box would not be checkmarked. When a telegram is sent out with that box
checkmarked, the recipient would be compared and if it matches the selected
telegram in the list would be marked as replied to... if not, it would be
marked as forwarded.

that really matter to me. You would probably be surprised how many people
have a lot to say but say it to me instead of saying it in here. It's
simple math. The more thought you put into something, the more you will
probably have to say about it.

If you want all thats stuff just have people email you. Telegrams arent ment
to be Email Substututes. There like sticky notes to give to people when
there gone or in a different world.
