i wish
that for activate/bump move commands EVERYBODY sees the object move when it
is clicked/walked over, or at least have another command like allsee=true or
something
Sep 16, 2002, 7:00am
call it "sync=on"

That is not how it works. It's strictly browser side. In order for EVERYONE to see
it when you click on something that says "activate move" it would have to be server
side (aka you click, browser sends click message to server, server reads the action
field and sends the action to everyone in the vicinity). That's the only way it
could happen, as I see it.

Do avatars receive object clicks as do bots? If so, the browser could check
the object action for any objects that are clicked. If it has an activate
action, then it would do that action.

That's basically the same thing as what I said. The browser does recieve the events
the same way bots do, so I assume. :)

Object click doesn't go to the browser - only to bots. It would create too much traffic for the innocent bystanders :)

I think he meant objects you specificlly click yourself?

I actually meant all object clicks by anyone. Bots normally take all of this
information and I had assumed that the browser did as well.

Well, uh, no. Browsers *do* get object clicks, at least they did last time
I checked using a piece of software which shall remain nameless :o.

Well, if they already go to the browser than there's not much left to make
an activate action sync with everyone in the area.
