why are mp3's and wav's on the same check box for options settings ? i
mean wavs (most) are small and mp3's(most) are frieken huge........ can we get these separated so you can chosse to just not hear mp3's ? peac agent1Mar 26, 2001, 5:14pm
When used in the sence that was planned for in AW (replacing some sounds with MP3-compressed versions), the MP3 should be smaller than the equivalent WAV file. The only time MP3s get "frieken huge" is when you have a lot of sound (like in normal-length music). Those kinds of files don't work well with AW because it doesn't support streaming (and if it did, I would hope there would be a file size limit...).

Streaming should not be cached and not require a size limit. A streaming audio file actually doesn't have a defined size, if the quality changes depending on the transfer speed.
