I run a small modeling site that sells objects and such as well as resells
hosting for worlds and Bots. I want to try and get other Biz in to the 3d
world but when I try and talk company owners and executives they say what
the at #%& is Active Worlds. Never heard of it. I think AW could do alot more
if they were to make themselves know to the general public. I have talked to
a few major corparations due to family relations and ws told not till AW is
know more by the general public would they consider worlds and Universes.
Are we aloud to publicly advertise AW ? I wish they would try to advertise
more.

I said that a few months ago too... I only found Active World myself by
mistake in a Copernic search on VRML.. As I looked into it more I found out
I like what it was about and bought space also working on a few small
projects with AW...
If they would get more public they could really take off even using old
version of RW. Where mass people would jump on the band wagon because of the
rendering speed is much faster than VRML software.. Mass users want to have
a homepage with VRML but because of the load speed so slow "VRML" they wait
for a better VRML engine.
Everyone I have showen AW to has blown they mind alway they never knew
any software like this was out there.....

I'm agreeing with you guys also. I never thought AW existed and I don't even
remember where I heard of it. It would be great if it were advertised. I'm
all the way in Australia, could even get it mentioned in a PC Magazine,
gaming magazine, internet magazine and lots more! There's lots of
advertising opportunity's if you want to go that one step further. And I
know that one step will bring Active Worlds flying up high with a boom of
heaps of users trying it out.

I think I saw a commercial about 4 or 5 years back about "the 3-D Internet" I wanted it so bad, and
I saw it one more time and never heard of it again. Don't know if it is in any way related to AW
tho...

I say it on C-net back in that time period. Complete with Awgate bunny avs. I downloaded it and then my
PB comp died, and forgot about it for like 2 more years.
