Aw SDK for VB..Its almost here! // SdkmrgrimmNov 30, 1998, 1:41am
I was bored last night so I decided I would spend the night trying to
get the SDK to work with VB. After about 5 hours of working on a dll, I finally got it to work, events/callbacks/everything. All thats left to do is fix a bug in the aw_int method, it's returing incorrect values. I'm not sure when I will release the VB AW SDK yet but for now I will be hanging around in AWTech messing around with it to make sure there arent any other wierd bugs (it's quite nice :o). lucio pascarelliNov 30, 1998, 8:37pm
Willing to test it on AW_Query right away :)
I have to interface the SDK with the MFC DAO for JetEngine access to SQL databases... and it is quite difficult in plain C ... one alternative is to go to C++ ... but I don't have much experience with it. I first like to test you VB sdk :) Thanks Lucio rivndelDec 1, 1998, 10:47pm
I'd LOVE to help test it. I've been looking for a better way to use the SDK
w/ VB5 hopefully it'll work :) --cybkat in Aw news.sirus.netDec 13, 1998, 12:21am

[View Quote] You should have your dll in the same directory as your programme or in the path. I have mine in winnt\system32. Btw, where can you get that dll? . The dll is at http://www.geocities.com/~misersoft/awtech/ and yes I do have
the dll in the same directory as my project [View Quote] rjinswandJan 12, 1999, 8:21am
The problem is probably that you need the aw.dll in the path too.
And if you experience crashes with the example greeterbot, then you've probably got a different version of the aw.dll than AwSdkVB.dll was compiled for. Currently, the VB sdk works with aw.dll build 10. Rjinswand [View Quote] |
