I don't know if it is just me but when I empty cache, or crash causing
reload, or in this last case an aw update, I no longer return to my home world, instead I end up at the gate then have to teleport in to my world. Normal? sweets baroJun 14, 2006, 4:05pm
Dumping your local cache SHOULD just sent you back to the entry point of
what ever world you are in while it re-loads. mauzJun 14, 2006, 6:50pm

Not me. How did you empty your cache? (Baro is referring to
right-clicking the Downloads window and choosing Empty Local Cache.) - AW upgrade may have overwritten parts of aworld.ini? -- Mauz http://mauz.info sweetsJun 14, 2006, 6:57pm
doesnt seem to be everytime....have noticed it 3 times so far...I empty
cache pretty much daily because of object making....just did it and was fine....the last update we got today loaded then I entered....stayed looking for Taurius a few seconds (which was running) then was bumped to gate....I teleported to Taurius right away and it all loaded again. Also noticed it when I changed video settings....it closed then came back bumping me to gate as not finding Taurius....LOL who knows....will tough it out.... all it seems to be doing all the time is reloading everything after each bounce....slow for us notepadders...LOL sweets baroJun 14, 2006, 8:08pm
If you're notepaddin' you'll best use rwmod or what ever to view your
models as you type, that's what I used to do till wings3d seduced me this year. sw comitJun 15, 2006, 1:59am
If your bothered by having to redownload the property cache all the time,
try out my AW Cache Backup & Restore program. Available at http://www.swcity.net/www/downloads.php, in the files section, first one there. - Com [View Quote] sweetsJun 15, 2006, 3:36am
I didn't know anything like that existed....where do I get something simple
enough to run, without having to do all that bouncing.....and I mean real simple....truespace wings3d and all those just frustrated me LOL sweets andrasJun 15, 2006, 7:59am

Additions:
1, Extract both zip into one folder. 2, RWXMod can use only bitmap textures, and it is looking for the path../textures folder first (you can configure where to look for them), so all jpg textures should be tconverted to bitmap format. Advantage of using RWXMod is that if your rwx file can be rendered with it, then AWI should render it too :) Another excellen too is Accutrans (not free but very good). -- Andras "It's MY computer" (tm Steve Gibson) simplaza.netJun 15, 2006, 2:55pm

> Well - according to its web site, it is not free. I payed my share and several of us who are not free-riders did. Shame on you :( -- Andras "It's MY computer" (tm Steve Gibson) sweetsJun 15, 2006, 3:26pm
OMG lookit that!....LMAO thanks so much....I think even I can handle
this....WOW.... : ) ....and so much less to translate what I don't understand into french for my partner than truespace LOL Thanks a million sweets lady nighthawkJun 15, 2006, 7:11pm
I used it for almost two years without paying (intended to but didn't have a
job or money so I couldn't) ... I finally DID pay and I paid for 3 licenses rather than just one, to make up for non payment previously ... in other words I paid $60.00 for what I thought was three years but rather Wayne tells me that was good for me, and two others, it's $20.00 one time fee ... not bad if you use it ALOT like I do ... I practically LIVE in accutrans LOL Thanks Wayne (if yer able to read here) :o} Lady NightHawk [View Quote] andrasJun 16, 2006, 4:16am
FYI
The official Accutrans newsgroup is news://news.andras.net/accutrans Wayne reads that and he responds to logical ideas fairly fast :) [View Quote] > I used it for almost two years without paying (intended to but didn't have a > job or money so I couldn't) ...
