Corruption in AWTeen...and alas why? (Community)
Corruption in AWTeen...and alas why? // Community
Jul 1, 2005, 8:29pm
Tonight i found myself playing AWTeen's Super Millionaire;
My question was;
GSK: What was the first game show that Alex Trebek hosted in his game
show career? A-JEOPARDY!, B-WIZARD OF ODDS, C-BATTLESTARS, D-SCRABBLE
now according to our friend GSK the answer is B, after doing research
from when i answered Jeopardy and was told i was wrong...using a website
AFTER the game...
i found this
In 1966 he got his own game show, entitled Reach for the Top (now hosted
by Daniel Richler). In 1973 he moved to the United States and worked for
NBC as host of a new game show, The Wizard of Odds.
i told him once and was told i was wrong, and that his question database
was correct
i posted it again in chat, and was told that his database had a diff
anser so therefore i was wrong...
i was a total jackass about it but i said it about 4 times in a
row...not really scrolling the screen but for emphasis...
then i was being told by digigurl to "calm down" and just accept that "i
lost"
never did i recieve a warning...
then i find myself ejected...
no whispered warning, no verbal warning...unless saying "hush C P calm
down its ok you lost" is a warning...
and though it paines me to say it digigurl was abusing her power...
my digi *sob*
was abusing her power...
corruption
well anyway just wanted to waste some forum space and watch everyone
(gsk etc) say FOMG UH UH...
i dont want to sound overly dramatic...but ugh why...why...we dont need
to have crap like this in awteen...
so now i suggest that anyone in the future boycott Super millionaire..it
is rigged...and you'll get ejected from AWTeen if you tel lthem their
answers are wrong...

Oh please, I kick GSK's back side more often than I can remember for his
questions.
Best thing to think is 'its only a game' and look it over.

Hey,
I believe the reason you were ejected was due to making a scene. Yes there
was a wrong answer, but that does not mean you have to ruin the game for
everyone else, just to prove that you are right. It is just that, A game;
and this is just AW, A Virtual Program on the computer. Next time approach
the host in private, then if he says your wrong, then congrats. I appologize
to the community for having to listen to this, and will be the last i say on
the issue.
Thanks,
Allen

Look whos talking!
Jul 1, 2005, 9:23pm
You could not even bother playing this sort of thing, it's rather pathetic
anyway.
Jul 1, 2005, 9:23pm
you say this as if its right >_<
i wasnt merely tryign to prove i was right...i was trying to fix it...
i mean i shoulda still been in the game i was wrong on my answer but so
was he, you cannot ask a qeustion and then kick someone from the game
because we'r both wrong.
in the real millionaire game someone answerered a question wrong because
he thought the answer was something else but didnt say anything...and
then it turns out none of the answers where technically correct...the
guy was then given a gaurenteed sum, an apology, and a chance to reapear...
im not asking for that
but merely for GSk to say "Ok i was wrong, we both where wrong, i didnt
know that questions answers where wrong" something like that but all he
did was say "The databse has this answer yoru wrong that website is
wrong, alex trebechs filmography is wrong"

GSK cannot host a fucking game right, Nor can LtBrenton
I'm sorry but it pisses me off when these 2 bug people to play only when:
- The game screws up
- They cannot get the right answers properly
- They have to stop because of their "realistic lighting" failing
- The cameraman went afk to go find a life
- The questions are unsorted and pathetic
All those can be avoided by management, and it seems like they never
heard of management before.

Especially if I went through tons of gruelling questions to get to the 10
Million Dollar question which was:
"What sport is the Heisman Trophy given in"? x_x

Gnu32, it is not my fault people can't stay in their [expletive deleted]
seats. Stop putting everyone else down, and go get yourself a life,
[expletive deleted]
And C P, you should know that gameshows go by their question database. I've
said it once somewhere on these NGs, I'll say it again.
Of those answers GSK gave, answer B is correct, as "Reach for the Top" is
not there.

A game used to win AWTeen points to win AW merchandise, dumbass
But anyway, GSK has left , because he cannot take it anymore, he has
been pushed over the edge and made a fool of and has become depressed
because of, guess what, CP himself
Shows how weak GSK is, leaving AW for 2 months because of a complaint ^_^

Maybe I should post the letter that C P wrote to me just moments after the
game...
Telegram from C P, sent Fri Jul 1, 2005 5:05 PM:
Hello,
I would like to apologise for my actions tonight. Currently i have a fairly
bad illness and we are uncertain of what it is according to the doctor. if
you goto www.livejournal.com/users/chris101d you can read more, however
right now i would like to apologise. Because of the illness i am extremely
irratable, and i tend to overreact to things, it is because right now we
dont know if its cancerous, or merely an infection. I would like to
apologise for anything i said or did to you to offend you. I am not trying
to take the blame off me and put it onto some illness, but anything i have
done is in someway related to this illness...i dont expect what i said to be
erased but i hope you can at least start to forgive me...
Chris
C P
Now, C P, say to the group that I admitted we were both wrong.
AND I, personally, am starting to believe this "illness" is nothing but a
fake "disease" that C P made himself. His LJ tells otherwise, but who knows?
He could lie. He has in the past, what's different about it now?

Oh, that's right they have the judges in any real life game such as this
when there is a question about whether someone is right or wrong in such a
confrontation. These judges then determine by researching the question to
assure the players all is fair. A player shoud not have to be abused just
because he knows his answer is right, but be given the courtesy to prove
indeed he IS right.
