I don't know... I hadn't noticed that.
But, now that you mention it... After refreshing the ng list, I can see the group too. Probably wasn't intended, and once they discover it, they'll probably disable our access. But, nevertheless, it is a nice peak into what's going on with the development. -Jeremy [View Quote] ferruccioDec 29, 2004, 4:10am
eh. still sounds like rumors to me :P I'd like to hear it from AWI, but AWI
is one of the few online companies in the MMO genre that never give periodic updates to the community. [View Quote] samuel ml lisonDec 29, 2004, 4:51am

Well, they use to... When Flagg was around. Now?
They need someone else from the community to work for them and communicate on all sides. I'm not sure how long you've been around... but I'd say that the Tech
Talks with Roland used to be plenty of "community feedback". It gave us a look into where the software was going, what Roland was working on, and his opinions about different matters. Now, unless you're a part of 'elite' little beta group, you've got virtually no chance of ever speaking with a member of the dev team. (They're not good about returning e-mails, in general...) On that note... from the looks of it, the beta newsgroup was a joke. People report problems left and right, and never get so much as an acknowledgement for anyone at AWI. There's no "I found XXXX in build 5xx"... then from a developer "OK, I think the problem is with YYY, I've tired ZZZZ to fix it... test it again with this new build". That *rarely* ever happens. ENZO posting here was great, for a while... Now it seems only only responds to the most non-sensical posts, only bring more nonsense to the thread. Like he's afraid to take on the big questions (i.e. this one..) Anyways... enough of my ranting. I agree, anyhow... that there's no community feed back. -Jeremy [View Quote] ferruccioDec 29, 2004, 8:04pm
