"If I was being totally synical I would take this opertunity to point out
how
much cash AWI would make from creating a Gor universe on a seperate host,
with increased prices (std procedure for adult products) and banning it in
AW..."
From what I recall this world was created for these members of dreamscape
and vrzones that required a "adult" related world. I think it was around
2000 when it was created.
Its based of the now defunk Habitat software from Fututsi (thinks thats the
spelling) Fututsi ceased delevloping the software and when I talked to them
a few years ago they more or less sold everthing off, no dought to Stratagem
Corp who are developing it.
To make sure "adult" related material was seperated from the child
accessable worlds they created this world Enzo states.
Plus they can charge more and make more returns.

The letter was at:
http://www.activeworlds.com/letter.html
But seems to have fell into the bog
Well I be sure to say all VR places have taken a decline without
exception to any of them, plus even at 69 bucks aw.inc could afford to
lose 1/3rd of membership without felling the cost and many free
homepages went to reduce worlds from around 2k to under 1k now.
but then aw used to have 600+ in on weekends now 350 tops inc tourists
If I remember right the letter said something like it was to employ more
programmers to make the produce better lol seems a lot of other staff
have left.
To be sure this year will make or break aw in the market, and remember
what happened on the price hype? el pirates came out in force. Its a
cert if aw.inc ceased the many out there will boom or everyone will have
there own universe lol

Not to bad, for a moment I thought a Uni up north where I went, Was more
a mad house in computing labs when the Uni decided to allow undergrads
access to out postgrad computing facilites, needless to say the
standered of post grad work went down as we could never get access to
the machines....

In sales its called getting your foot in the door, like puppy dog trial
worlds..
Jan 23, 2005, 4:49am
Im not sure whats happening here but since the last few upgrades we
reloaded the cache in some worlds and everthing has either changed
locations (co ordinates) or objects changed ie right name but wrong
object....
This basically has destroyed worlds that where fine
has anyone else experenced problems?
