Another webpage that's not current...
http://www.activeworlds.com/help/aw36/advanced.html These are in the help pages and should be updated with each new browser! This one doesn't show that you can change the Toolbar for instance. LNH -- builderzAug 29, 2004, 6:14am
Not only does AWI's website need updating, it also needs a redesign to
boot. According to http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/ it takes nearly 50 seconds for their front page to load on a 56K modem. Considering that the average web surfer doesn't wait more than 25 seconds for a page to load, AWI may be losing potential customers. Nothing horrendous though. The page looks identicle in Mozilla. The
only thing that I notice different is the small search box. rossyboyAug 29, 2004, 4:53pm
Yeah, only Linux geeks would look at the source of the page just to go
"tut tut tut" at IE code. Which could become a problem if AW makes a Linux version :¬( [View Quote] [View Quote] bowenAug 29, 2004, 5:21pm

Yeah it's just the margin settings (easily fixed by putting them in
CSS), and the script type. They also don't put the encoding and doctype in, though, which they should. I didn't check their CSS for problems though. |
