Actually, it is a celeron 900 with 256 RAM only, runs smtp/pop, dns and
http. In former years I had also P200 and P266 with 64 and 128 MB, which
usually ran without reboot until I had to replace some hardware part

hmmm - I run my web/mail/news server on a 133 P1 with 64 MB of memory (NT4.0) which had a record uptime: 391 days!
Now I moved to a slightly faster machine (700 P2, 512 MB) and I already had to reboot 4 times.
True - it was not hardened properly agains the latest worms :)
