X_X I wanted to welcome it...but I have too many problems with 3.4. My
keyboard fails to work in the building dialog box.
And I didn't see the need to adjust the movement speeds. They were fine.
Kinda annoyingly fast now, but I guess you can get use to it...

Back to 3.3 for now...

Gah! 3.5 gigs of installers and never what I need. Got AW3.1, 3.2, and 3.4
beta, and older versions on my old backup CDs.

Oh well...figured it out anyway. Can't type in objects that aren't yours I
see. ?_? at why no one told me when I was on AW, and they were beta testers
too. Just said they didn't know =P

Well, you can enable Precise Movement in General Settings, if you have
problem with the movement speed.

I can't tell the difference between Precise movement or not.

I can tell a very strong difference between precise movement and regular
movement...regular movement you tend to keep going for a bit even after
taking your finger off of the key...precise movement you STOP as soon as
you finger is off that key.

Hi everyone:

[View Quote] I noticed that too. You can't copy commands of an object someone else laid
down unless you hit the INSERT key beforehand and click the X in the upper
corner after you copy the duplicate. TOTALLY SENSELESS if ya ask me.

> And I didn't see the need to adjust the movement speeds. They were fine.

Umm....Now I take issue with you here Comit. They DO need to increase the
ground level framerate AT LEAST threefold if you ask me (ESPECIALLY in
situations where you're traveling down a road with NOTHING on either side of
it).

> Kinda annoyingly fast now, but I guess you can get use to it...

It's still a little SLOW to me.

> Back to 3.3 for now...

Not me. I like 3.4 otherwise. Haven't noticed too many other bugs. :-)

Cheers for now :-)

Hi everyone:

[View Quote] Hopefully it'll solve my problem of sliding from one side of the road to the
other as I travel down it.

Bleh if you wanna move fast you just go into move with mouse mode, get off
the ground, hold ctrl down, and slide your mouse forward. Us SW'ians called
it maching, cause you'd travel *extremely* fast. Could travel from one side
of town to the other in maybe a minute. Nothing comes close to it, except
teleporting of course =P

Hi everyone:

[View Quote] Well...At least that I can CONTROL my movement with the keyboard. :-)

As it is now, I *still* have to lift myself off the ground ever so slightly
to achieve highway speeds (and that's WITH using the CTRL key!). That
shouldn't be. I should be able to achieve highway speeds WHILE FLAT ON THE
GROUND using the CTRL key and normal street speeds without it (again while
flat on the ground). If I hit the CTRL key while flat on the ground, I can
only get normal street speeds while on a highway. Without it, I'm just
creeping along on ANY type of road.

Mind you, when I speak of normal street speeds, I should be able to go down
the street just as if I were going down a major throughfare in a RL
metropolitan city. As it is now, I'm barely going faster than I would f I
were on a residential street WITH the CTRL key, WHICH IS NOT GOOD if I'm
going down a major street in Hamsterville . I *should* be going just fast
enough as if I were looking for a particular address without it.

Does this make sense to anyone?? I hope so....
