Paintball & Capture The Flag is now being run 24/7 in the world Lugia. We
have redesigned the playing field and lowered the terrain so that players
can travel across it easier. We have new base designs as well as new
obstacles in the field. Come take a look and have some fun :) The world
also features a Tip Bot that will give you help as you play the game. If you
would like to find out more information about the bot being used, please
visit its website located at http://www.vectracon.com/CTFBot.html.

Thank god, just in time. The masses were about to riot at the lack of
"paintball" worlds in aw. Luckly you came and filled that extreme demand.

dude, don't post replys like until you know what the heck you are replying
to. Lord Fett's PBL bot is not just PBL but also CTF. And DON'T you dare say
"Oh, look, they changed one little thing, SOO much different." Lord Fett put
more work into that bot then you would believe, so don't go off being mean
to him.

Oh my goodness, the newsgroups have reached another level of stupidity. Can
you not take sarcastic comments without going nuts? I agree with baro,
there aren't enough paintball worlds, we need twenty more, at least. Then
everyone can be entertained with them for five seconds and then go off and
live their lives. Baro knew damn well what he was replying to, a message in
the newsgroup advertising another paintball world. I've seen the
documentation for the magical "bot". Its paintball with flags, that doesn't
make it any different then the rest. While Lord Fett was putting thousands
of hours into his Visual Basic monstrosity, some of us were "outside", and
"living our lives". Must be new concepts for you.

It is Capture The Flag with paintball not the other way around. Also the bot
was programmed in C++, not Visual Basic. There are only about 2 CTF worlds
in Active Worlds. AWCTF (which is never used anymore) and Lugia. There may
be more, but I don't know of any others that are good. I don't see why you
have to have a big fit over it. If you don't like it, then oh well. There
are many more people who will find the world and bot very cool and will have
a fun time. Stop trying to ruin it for everyone else.

See? people don't read things and then reply to them...how do they even know
what they are replying to without reading it? beats me... "And DON'T you
dare say
"Oh, look, they changed one little thing, SOO much different." " Did you
even read that? By what I see no, because you just did the exact thing.
People can be so cruel sometimes, putting others down so far.

Erm it's the same thing both ways. Capture the Flag _is_ a derivative of
paintball. Then there's just standard paintball where it's team on team,
last man standing's team wins. Or the ever popular free for all. But
capture the flag is paintball.

Capture the Flag is a form of paintball.

No not really, Capture the Flag can also be other things. In Tribes it isn't
Paintball, and yet you still "Capture the Flag". But really what it comes
down to is the most experienced world with the most features is the one that
gets respect. Even those little changes are useful, because if you have the
choice of playing in a world with them, and one without them, people will
choose the one with the extra features. I suppose that sounds a bit
non-individualistic, but hey, it happens :)

Capture the flag has long existed before video games that breached into
online FPS shooting. Tribes is a spawn off of Paintball. With "death" that
you can't have in paintball. That's the only difference. It takes no
effort to make a paintball bot anymore, it takes just a little more to add
in capture the flag too. Easily done. The whole paintball thing is way
overdone. There are tons of cheaters and those that have become so godlike
it loses it's interest.

Do it.....right now. If it is easy then make a bot with EVERY feature that
Lord Fett's bot has in ONE day. If you can do it, then you gain my respect
and bragging rights, if not, then I insist that you stop what you are doing.

LoL I'm currently making another bot. If I really feel the need to prove
myself I might. Otherwise I don't see the point right now. If you don't
want to believe me.. oh well for me. It's not THAT hard. Check to see if a
person is being clicked, warp them to base, check for the flag being
clicked, etc etc.

A time bot, silly AW didn't include a function to get the VRT time from the
uniserver so I've had to use a C++ function to get the darn time and convert
it to GMT. Still waiting for Eric to give me the list of 3 letter time zone
codes for all the time zones and their GMT offset.
