I just got 418, and the seq's seem to be much better on the whole. And the
wall came tumbling down! Yes, we now can walk once again out beyond our
world's boundaries. Maybe it's only psychological, but it's nice!! Thank
you AWcom!!

I would have wished, however, that AW posted some release notes on what was
new in this version. The help pages at
http://www.activeworlds.com/help/aw33/beta.html only show what's new in
build 417, not build 418 :(

Build 418 Notes (6/18/02)

o This build fixes some issues where avatars were not translating along the Y axis (up and down) while walking. The
net effect of this was that walking looked "stiff".
o This release brings everyone up to date with the latest 3.3. Barring any major issues, this will be the last 3.3 release.

I had to do a clean install of it, now DirectX 8 mode won't work no matter
what I try! Missing rw_d3d.dll. Unable to initialize rendering library
(reason 491).

I don't know how it happened, but I somehow wound up installing Build
419 instead of 418. The only problem is, apparently 419 is still only in
beta, so it says you need a beta account to use it! Any clue as to
what's going on?

They just released 419....i almost crapped my pants when the upgrade box
just popped in the midel of what i was doing heh.
