Vista x64 (5384) here - works like a dream. Although there is a slight
issue with the Aero theme. I need to disable Aero before I start AW,
otherwise my CPU maxes out and my system lags uncontrollably. Specs:
AMD Sempron 3300+ x64
NVIDIA GeForce 6800GT
2.0GB RAM

You're *all* missing one fundamental difference between AW and SL.
SL is managed properly. SL gets updated *very* regularly, whereas AW
went for more than 2 years without being updated, apart from very
infrequent bugfixes. More to the point, SL doesn't exist solely for
commercial benefit, as a matter of fact if you subscribe to the Premium
Annual option, you get it back exactly in L$ stipend every year.
So, uh, yeah. SL pwns.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying AW is a total write off.
However, if you are looking for a community as well as a platform, go to
SL. Quite frankly, the community here (SW City and the AWTeen guys
excepted) stinks. It's full of middle aged women complaining about the
younger generation, having cat fights, etc. It bores me. The only
reason I am still on AW is because it is a good platform for programmers
and designers who need to rapidly develop something that works. For
example, see my Who Wants to Be a Millionaire studio at AWTeen
505N,1831W. And my point still stands about AW - it is managed the same
way a three year old would manage a nuclear reactor. Badly. The last
major update on SL was about 3 months ago. The last major update before
4.1 was over 2 YEARS ago. Plus the fact, for $72 a year on SL, you get
a hell of a lot. And you can access SL properly for free. Stuff you
build is protected. You don't get uncontrollable vandalism in SL. A
land owner in SL has the power to delete or return objects, no matter
who owns them. Which means you can keep your buildings clean.

This is why I maintain, SL is *way* better than AW. They don't ban
people for complaining, they resolve it.

Explain, in 100 words or less, why it is unrelated.

.....Rett got banned?
That's it, I am officially outta here. AW just lost a renewal. I'll be
expiring some time within the next 20 days. Bye E N Z O.
