*puts on his padding*
Okey, this may disturb nearly none of you. So don't brace yerself.
i hope he NEVER add the cutom object/avatar features.
Why? Because it will bring a whole new way of vandalizing, responsibility,
making up too much lag,etc etc.
Say this avatar sports a giant nude pic walking around GZ, or it has a
zillion vertexes, or it says like 'Boo hoo to COF' etc etc.
i'd hate it! truly hate it!

its a good idea, but only if you have a fast computer and modem.
Like me, p75, 14.4 modem (probobly 2-4 times slower than most), it is slow
now, and with a mic, it wouldn't evan function, usably. Like, i can't get
Real Audio now, let alone with AW running.
But, if you can get it so you can set it off, for some people, it won't be
that bad.
Rating of the idea:
4/10

good thing worthy of a new build, in my opinion. Whispering MIGHT be a minor
plus, too. I'd like to know what the "Many other small tweaks and
improvements" as stated on http://activeworlds.com/newsletter/0199/0199.html
are, however.
>
>I talked to Protagonist once about that
showing-avatars-through-objects-stuff some months ago. He said that it was
only one single line of coding that made it like that, but if he removed it

remove that line without making AW slower!

common sense. Considering the "0199.html" file is in the "0199" directory,
having the HTML file the same name is unnecessarily redundant. Simply name
it "index.htm", "index.html", or "default.htm", or "default.html", and just
use http://activeworlds.com/newsletter/0199/ as the link. Isn't efficiency
neato? I think so...
