wow.....i've been waiting for an opportunity not to look like an idjit on my
first ng post...i guess this is as good a time as any...lol. Question:
why dont all the postings show up on my download? - im not talking about
those that are filtered or taken out as there are too many.

Cuz Outlook only DLs 300 unless you tell it to.

You might not realize it... But your software if it is the Microsoft
Outlook Express newsgroups reader might have a filter in there of say
100 downloads at any one time. Some NGS readers do that & some don't.
When I used to use the default Microsoft newsreader of many moons ago
it had that feature in there so you don't over fill the smaller hard drives.
You can set that up to whatever your limit is and the default limit
is 9999 posts at any one time. And so far i haven't seen 9999 posts of
anything in any NGS areas i've ever gone into yet...
